Improved plenty in 2016, winning three times over this sort of trip, the best of them being at Musselburgh from a mark of 70. 2lb higher today, but very competitive from this mark at Catterick last time. Some concern that he has not performed to his best in four runs here.

Two handicap wins have been off marks of 68 and 70, so on the face of it he needs to improve just a little today. However, beaten just a head from 1lb higher here in January and he looks short-list material.

In rattling good form at present, justifying favouritism on four successive occasions, including over C&D last time, to rise 22lb in the handicap. Steps up in class today, but wasn't stopping last time and if he is able to lay-up with this pace again then he should go very close.

Appears to be a shadow of former days when he was good enough to win from a mark of 80 and be competitive from higher. No win since September 2014 and this trip plenty short enough for him. Impossible to recommend at present despite yard's good form.

Hat-trick seeker after wins here over 1m½f and also C&D last time, when he was able to dictate. Up 5lb for the latest of those and 8lb in total, but may again be able to set the tone from his inside draw and another win far from ruled out.

Rattled up a Lingfield hat-trick last spring at around this trip and scored there again in December, before adding C&D success to his name in January from a mark of 66. 4lb higher today and should be competitive again though does look exposed.

Won from marks of 70 and 71 earlier in his career, but not quite so good these days, although he scored from a pitch of 63 at Newcastle (1m2f) two starts ago. Stepped up to a similar trip to this last time and although beaten he is worth another try.

6lb lower than when winning over C&D in January 2015, though has added just two more wins from 26 subsequent outings. Does like it here and although recent efforts uninspiring, a market check is suggested.

Most recent of his four career wins was here over 1m1½f in December 2015. Still 1lb higher today, despite 10-race losing run, primarily because he went close again under the same conditions amid all that. Raced keenly when tried over C&D last time after a break, but if less fizzy here then he could go well at a price.
