One of two runners in this race for the yard and although she won twice last season this mark is stiff enough now. Is a course winner though over 1m2f and could still b working her way back to form this year.

3lb below her highest winning mark (Ayr, 7f, soft) and ran a respectable race on her reappearance on the AW at Newcastle over a mile. Should run a sound enough race but others make more appeal for now.

Won this race last year off the same mark although conditions will be very different this time around and she had had a run last year. Comes here fresh this time around but has struggled without a previous run before.

Now with a new yard and still seeking her first win despite having some creditable efforts in handicaps off marks similar to this. Has on occasions looked a tricky ride and it may well be another placed effort is the best she can hope for here.

Came second in this race last year when returning from a break and comes back here again after an even longer absence in a bid to go one better. Won at Doncaster in June staying on well for pressure (usual way of running) and not out of this here if there is a strong gallop.

Won handicaps at both Catterick and over C&D last year with the common factor being that she was positively ridden each time. Ran no sort of race on her debut for this yard and returns her after a break with a wide draw to overcome if she is to repeat those positive tactics.

Usually held-up and comes from off the pace and can be dangerous around here (course winner over 7f) if she gets a sound pace to run at. Only won once last year off a 4lb higher mark and she shaped better than her finishing position last time out on the AW. One to note in the market off a favourable mark.

May well be better on the AW than turf and showed that when winning at Southwell in January off a mark of 56 over a mile. Back to turf now off a more testing mark but dies come from a stable in good form.

Both turf wins have come here over shorter the last in May 2016 off a 1lb lower mark. Headgear worn then and all subsequent starts apart from the last one is again left of here and she has slipped to a workable mark returning to turf and can't be ruled out here.

Forecasts

Dose (4/1), Livella Fella (9/2), Rosamaria (5/1), Make On Madam (6/1), Fidelma Moon (6/1), Popsies Joy (7/1), Cabal (8/1), Forever A Lady (10/1), Miss Ranger (14/1), Beadlam (16/1)

Verdict

With the Fahey yard being in form Dose will be of interest here as she returns to the turf with last year’s winner Fidelma Moon also entering the equation although she hasn’t had a run this year. Make On Madam also features on a course she likes off a workable mark and has to be respected along with Popsies Joy and Miss Ranger. CABAL could be just better than she has shown so far though and her AW runs have had the look of one who could come to life sooner rather than later.
  1. Cabal
  2. Make On Madam
  3. Dose
