Gelding out of Oscar comes to the track for the first time representing powerful trainer and trusted jockey, no surprises if he's able to have a say in the finish.
Didn't make any lasting impression in a bumper at Navan in February on debut, goes up in trip now for jumping bow, has to improve.
Wasn't unfancied if pair of point-to-point runs this year, though didn't shape well on either occasion and pulled up both times. Gives him something to prove on the racecourse proper now.
Has placed five times in six starts over timber, boasts an experience advantage on many of these rivals and clearly sets the standard. Some concern that he's finished second in five close finishes over hurdles and in bumpers already.
Good winner of a Clonmel bumper in September on sole outing under rules, jumping bow in this and trainer was in flying form at Cork on Sunday, major player.
Fell in jumps bow at Naas in February when apparently booked for second, since run fair race to be third at Gowran Park last month. Goes up in distance and that may assist cause.
Well beaten off in pair of maiden hurdle at Naas over 2m3f already, hard to see any massive alteration in the form now.
Has yet to pose any credible threat in three spins over hurdles, stepped up in distance to 2m6f last time but fared no better, big task in front of him again.
Presenting gelding is a half-brother to three winners and should not be troubled by this trip on his racecourse debut.
Latest effort of three over hurdles was a bit disappointing at Leopardstown in March when upped to this trip, hopes remain that can be put down to heavy ground. No surprise should run a better race now.
An 11-race maiden on the Flat, didn't fare any better when making jumps bow at Sligo in July and has been off since. Stiff task here.
Well beaten off in a 2m2f Leopardstown maiden hurdle in January on sole outing to date, will do well to improve enough to figure in the closing stages of this.
Two runner-up finishes this year in maiden hurdles at Navan over 2m have been much-improved efforts, goes out in distance now and entitled to claims in this.
On the evidence of three runs over hurdles he doesn't have any obvious claims here despite the step up in trip.
Improved on second start at Leopardstown last month to finish just over 6L fourth of 15 when stepped up to this trip, could build on that effort.
Modest form in a pair of bumper outings at Down Royal in May/June last year, been off since and will have to do better on jumps bow to get competitive.
Disappointing in a 2m maiden hurdle at Navan last month on debut, that came on heavy ground so there is some hope of better this time.
Pulled up in a handicap over 3m here in January, hasn't shown enough in previous maidens to warrant support dropping back in trip.
Plenty encouragement in three runs over hurdles last year, marginally less so at Naas in January when last spotted but isn't to be ruled out of this.
Nine-years-old now and has raced on just one occasion, unseating rider over fences at Huntingdon last month having gone off a 50/1 chance.
Represents in-form trainer and jockey team but has to produce much more than has been evident in two maiden hurdle runs this year.
Didn't show enough in a Tramore bumper recently to warrant support for this first jumping test and the market is likely to reflect that.
Hard to be optimistic after an unimpressive display on hurdles bow at Naas in February over this sort of trip.
Mare out of Ask is making first appearance on the track, trainer has been quiet of late but is worth a look in the betting.
Doesn't appear to be overly laden with talent based on three hurdles runs to date, represents a trainer in super form however if getting the shout as reserve for a run in this.

Forecasts
Coeur Joyeux (2/1), Drumconnor Lad (6/1), Tamlough Boy (6/1), Harold Peto (6/1), Kopookris (6/1), Coolmeen Hill (13/2), King's War (14/1), Young Bidder (33/1), Aherlow (50/1), Kalinite (50/1), Boubafly (50/1), Seanathair (66/1), Harry Smiles (66/1), Miss Rose (100/1), Kickham (100/1), Cher Why Not (100/1), Fish A Wish (100/1), Mon Storm (100/1), Private Ledger (100/1), Forever Charmer (100/1), Vodka Society (100/1), Knockananna (100/1), Invincible Zeb (100/1), Angelsea Lace (100/1), Gertoni (100/1), Kildaven Spider (100/1)
Coeur Joyeux sets the standard here and has plenty experience but his record in close finishes is off-putting and he's likely to be short enough in the betting regardless, though it will be no surprise to see him in the finish again. Given that his trainer was in fine fettle at Cork on Sunday, it's safe to assume Clonmel bumper winner COOLMEEN HILL will be ready to go first time over hurdles and he may be up to winning this. King's War has improved in this sphere in two runs this year and can threaten again now upped in trip while a better effort should be forthcoming from Harold Peto on the likely decent ground.
- Coolmeen Hill
- Coeur Joyeux
- Harold Peto
