Bumper winner in 2014, failed to win over hurdles and was well beaten off here over 2m1f on chase bow earlier this month. Limited expectations here.
Just the one win from 23 starts under rules came at Ballinrobe in May 2015, remote fourth of 13 over 2m1f here 15 days ago.
A decent hurdler, he cut little ice on chase bow at this track over 2m1f recently, though the testing conditions might not have been in his favour then. Better ground likely here and could do better for leading connections.
Lightly-raced but managed a Grade Two success in winning two of three hurdles starts. Pulled up at Down Royal over 2m4f on chase bow in December and off since, needs to jump better now dropping in trip.
An average maiden hurdle winner in 2015, he has also pocketed a couple of wins on the AW. Well beaten on chase bow here recently and hard to see any dramatic turnaround.
Took record over fences to ten without success late last month at Down Royal over 2m4f, effort fading late on. Drops in trip now but makes little appeal as a likely winner of this.
Has run six times over fences since returning from 997 days off, yet to win and has really only run with promise on one occasion at Thurles in February over this sort of trip. Drops in distance now but requires something more than he's shown thus far.
Positively ridden and found only the odds-on jolly too good over 2m1f here recently, has placed on four of six runs over fences and looks a major contender in this line-up to open his account.
Second of two for leading yard in this, won a maiden hurdle at Galway in October (Black Zambezi second) on only outing since switching from Willie Mullins. First run over fences and has potential.
Stayed on for place money in both chase outings over 2m1f at this venue so far, likely that similar aspirations here are the best he can hope for.
Yet to win under rules in seven attempts and hasn't looked a natural in three spins over fences so far. Drops in trip but needs fair amount of improvement to take a hand in the finish.
Easily held in two chase runs at Galway in the autumn and has been off since, was supported in the market for both those races. There could be more to come now dropped to 2m.
Has a bit to find with some of these based on hurdles for as she makes chase bow here, gets 7lb allowance to assist and trainer in fine form.
Forecasts
Pyromaniac (3/1), O Ceallaigh (7/2), Potters Point (4/1), Falcon Crest (6/1), Flaviana (10/1), Delegate (12/1), Joxer (14/1), Black Zambezi (20/1), Rocky Court (20/1), Definite Earl (28/1), House Limit (66/1), Robin De Roost (100/1), Hatch Hall (100/1)
O CEALLAIGH sets the standard having run well behind an odds-on favourite at this track earlier this month. He was well clear of the remainder and looks to hold decent prospects of going one better under a similar positive ride now. The Elliott team have two in here and while Cooper seemingly fancies Delegate there could be more value in siding with Potters Point, who won a maiden hurdle on his sole outing for the yard in the autumn and has some potential to improve now going fencing. Falcon Crest, a Grade Two winner over timber, may be the best of the rest if jumping better on second start in this sphere off a break.
- O Ceallaigh
- Potters Point
- Falcon Crest
