Capable novice hurdler. Two wins on quickish ground over this trip at Wincanton in the autumn before running too bad to be true at Chepstow in December. Rested since but back now with conditions in his favour and despite giving away a double penalty is hard to oppose.

Tongue tied and tailed off last on racecourse bow in bumper here in February. Showed modest ability when fifth in similar event at Wincanton last month, fading quickly from 3 out. Hurdles debut today but faces a very stiff task.

Verdict

It's impossible to oppose ROUGE DEVILS who appears to be a completely different class to his two rivals. Clearly something was amiss last time when he ran badly and he has been off since, but assuming all is now well with him this should prove a cakewalk. Don't Even Go There is the more likely of the other pair for the straight forecast.
