Pulled up on each of his last three outings when wearing various forms of headgear (first time visor last time out). Winner off a 1lb higher mark in the past but appears to be out of sorts at present.
Placed over 2m7f (good) at Taunton in December but well beaten in a novice chase at Ascot earlier this month. Races off a 2lb lower mark than for that Taunton placing and an interesting runner here.
Successful off a 1lb lower mark over C&D on good ground in December. Suffered two heavy defeats and an early fall on three outings since then but interesting with yard having winners of late.
Wore cheekpieces and tongue tie combination for the first time when winning at Cartmel over 2m5f in August. Returning from a break when well beaten on heavy ground at Ffos Las early last month but yard out of form at present (6/34).
Winner of his penultimate outing over 2m4f (soft) at Warwick in February. Well held off revised mark at Newbury subsequently and would probably prefer softer ground than is likely today.
Winner over 3m at Exeter in October but well held when third behind today's rival Minellacelebration later that month. Making his first first start since then and likely to put up a bold show here.
Victorious five times in a 45 race rules career. Failed to complete in two of his three outings for this stable (all at Wincanton) and well over two years since his last success.
Forecasts
Pawn Star (9/4), Sykes (11/4), Minellacelebration (5/1), Wadswick Court (6/1), No Buts (13/2), Johnny Og (14/1), Raajih (25/1)
MINELLACELEBRATION ran well when finishing third off a 2lb higher mark at Taunton back in December and can record a second handicap success by taking this contest. The selection won off a 5lb lower mark over 3m1f at Aintree in October and this extended 2m7f looks more suitable than the 2m5f he raced over earlier this month. Pawn Star can chase home the selection on his first run since finishing behind the selection in that Aintree contest while Sykes is another of note here representing a yard who have had a few winners of late.
