All five career wins have come in his native France including at Angers over 2m2f in September 2015. Handicap mark has fallen 20lb as a result of four moderate runs for previous yard and makes his debut for a leading stable after a ten month absence here.

Sole win came on debut for this stable at Huntingdon in May 2016. Beaten 20L over 2m4f at Worcester (good) when last racing in August 2016 and back down to his last winning mark for this.

Successful on debut for this yard in a selling hurdle over 2m4f here 13 months ago. Well beaten in the main of late including here over 2m4f last time out and a bit to prove at present.

Sulamani The Latep33
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-11| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  99
5/1
Finished runner-up when wearing cheekpieces for the first time on handicap debut at Sedgefield last time out. Races off a 5lb higher mark in this and interesting for a yard with a 27% strike-rate recently (11/41).
6

Desertmore Hill241
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-9| J: R Johnson| T: Kerry Lee| OR:  97
6/4
Both wins came in bumpers back in 2015. Well beaten on all four outings for previous stable including at Stratford in August when last on the racecourse. Probably best watched on debut for new yard here.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: David Bass| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls| OR:  95
18/1
Placed just once from seven outings so far. Well held on handicap debut at Huntingdon last month and hopes seem to lie with tongue tie and cheekpieces having a positive effect on performance.

Horse silk
Jinsha Laket74
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-6| J: Conor Ring(3)| T: Evan Williams| OR:  94
25/1
Having his first run since being gelded when pulled up in first time cheekpieces and tongue tie at Hereford last time out. Predicted good ground here should suit better and won off this mark at Towcester in 2016. Interesting runner here.

Horse silk
Istimraar76
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-6| J: R P McLernon| T: Alexandra Dunn| OR:  94
16/1
Won just one of 25 hurdles starts to date and well beaten on each of his last three starts (Flat and jumps). Better ground forecast here likely to suit and an interesting runner in this.

Equleust145
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: L Heard| T: Mrs K Stephens| OR:  91
33/1
Winning Flat handicapper at 1m but well beaten on all three starts over hurdles so far. Wears a tongue tie for this handicap debut.

Grisedenuith228
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-11| J: M Hamill(5)| T: T Wall| OR:  85
50/1
Maiden after 11 outings and well beaten in a hood off a 2lb higher mark over an extended 1m7f (good) at Southwell in August when last seen in action. Likely to struggle in this.
12
Horse silk
Orthodox Ladp15
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-4| J: R T Dunne| T: G Harris| OR:  78
12/1
Twice a winner over hurdles and well beaten at Uttoxeter over 2m earlier this month. Better on two previous starts including when fifth off a 7lb higher mark at Leicester in January but a bit to prove at present.

Forecasts

Desertmore Hill (6/4), Sulamani The Late (5/1), Bambi Du Noyer (7/1), Calculated Risk (8/1), Orthodox Lad (12/1), On Alberts Head (12/1), Kayf Charmer (16/1), Istimraar (16/1), My Cousin Rachel (18/1), Jinsha Lake (25/1), Equleus (33/1), Grisedenuit (50/1)

Verdict

JINSHA LAKE has been pulled on his last two outings including on his first since being gelded at Hereford in February. The selection is now back down to his last winning mark and with the predicted better ground likely to suit he can claim this at the chief expense of Sulamani The Late who represents an in form yard and who made a winning handicap debut last time out. Bambi Du Noyer had some decent form in France and has his first outing for a leading yard here following a few disappointing efforts in 2016.
  1. Jinsha Lake
  2. Sulamani The Late
  3. Bambi Du Noyer
