Reached his peak in December 2015 but has lost his way more recently. Yet to tackle this trip over fences and has plenty to find at the weights
Only previous attempt at this trip came in Grade One company. Worth another go judged on his manner of victory in the 2m6f Grade Two Florida Pearl at Punchestown in November. Should be a short price for this judged on the manner of his latest win in the Webster Cup at Navan. Stable took this in 2013 and 2014s, whilst favourites have landed the last four renewals.
Has 50L to find with A Toi Phil on running at Navan last time. Has been well beaten again since and this season's form suggests he is a long way below the level required to land this.
Has more proven stamina than most in the lineup but his overall form looks several pounds below the standard required to win this.
Has completed one his three starts following a layoff. That resulted in a victory in a veterans race but this requires a lot more. Next race may have come too soon.
Has proven stamina and arrives having run the useful Clarcam to a couple of lengths before scoring last time. Had Mozoltov tailed off that day and The Paparazzi Kid was pulled up. Has clear claims on that effort and his official rating may underestimate him.
Has C&D winning form but he meets all today's rivals on several pounds worse terms than if this were a handicap.
Forecasts
A Toi Phil (1/1), Val De Ferbet (9/4), The Paparrazi Kid (6/1), Ttebbob (9/1), Winter Magic (25/1), Realt Mor (25/1), Mozoltov (25/1)
A TOI PHIL has been patiently campaigned by Gordon Elliott and has bypassed all the major festivals. His Webster Cup performance last time was highly impressive with The Tullow Tank (rated 153) trailing in a well beaten third. The manner of his victory in the Florida Pearl Novices Chase over 2m6f casts few doubts in regard to him getting this longer trip. Val De Ferbet has been improving rapidly of late and he spreadeagled a good field at Clonmel before acquitting himself well on the Flat last time. The Paparazzi Kid was pulled up in that Clonmel race which came a few days after a Wexford victory. He may prove himself better than that here today.
- A Toi Phil
- Val De Ferbet
- The Paparrazi Kid
