Failed to win last year in her three-year-old season after winning three races on the bounce as a juvenile all over 5f. She did have some tough tasks last year though and the handicapper has relented a little now. Ran well back from a break over 5f last time out and one to look out for back on turf.
Yard are very good with sprinters and this one is a dual C&D winner the last win did come off a 7lb lower mark though. Two AW wins so far this year have probably not shown him in the best light but he faces a tough draw here in a bid to get back to winning ways.
Consistent sort who probably should win more often than he does with his runs style (comes from off the pace) requiring some luck in-running. Winner of a 5f handicap on the AW in November off a mark of 70 and has run well here before but may just need a little bit of good fortune to land this.
Not won for a while but is capable of some good form over sprint trips. Ended last year in a little bit of a downbeat and may well need the run here back from a long absence.
One of two runners in this for his trainer and showed some good form last year winning twice at Carlisle over 5f off slightly lower marks. Nicely drawn here and if ready to go first time up he could be in the mix.
A drop in class saw him win at Ayr in July (6f, soft) off a reduced mark. His form gradually declined though as the mark rose again and a low draw and first run for a while give him a tough task here.
Yard have been known to do well with recruits from other stables and it looked as though they were getting to grips with this one on his penultimate start over 5f at Newcastle. Possibly ran a bit free over the same course last time out and the cheekpieces worn there are removed as he returns to the turf.
Three-year-olds running against their elders generally have a tough time this early in the season. Makes his handicap debut here against his elders having been well beaten over 6f last time out when he reportedly bled but he is a speedy type and this drop to 5f may just suit.
Well drawn for a 5f dash here and has two wins over this trip to her name both at Hamilton. Back from a break on her Fibresand debut of late when she raced freely and with that run under her belt she could make an impression here of a mark of 70.
A regular on the Scottish circuit he's only ever won at Ayr and added another win at the track on his penultimate start at the end of last year. Never won over this trip and despite being well drawn this trip looks too sharp from a yard that looks very quiet at the moment.

A fast and furious sprint to finish off the action on the first day of Flat action at Musselburgh this year. Those drawn low can often struggle over the straight track and it often pays to be among the higher numbers and stands side. Paul Midgley has some good earlier chances on the card and one of his duo here TWENTYSVNTHLANCERS who is a sporting pick from the 9 stall. Reckless Serenade from stall 11 also looks of interest with a recent run under her belt. The three-year-old Havelock will catch the attention of many but that age group can find things tough against their elders at this time of year. Royal Brave often travels well in his races but does need a little bit of luck while Lydia’s Place looks near to picking up a race such as this.
- Twentysvnthlancers
- Reckless Serenade
- Royal Brave
