Has been running very well recently, including when taking a competitive handicap at York in October over today's trip. Also won at Wolverhampton two starts ago and almost defied at 6lb rise in the weights when beaten by less than a length at Lingfield last time out. Remains on the same mark here and has leading claims.
Ran some fair races at Meydan during the early parts of this year before finishing a close fourth to the useful Kimberella when last seen at Lingfield. Goes down 1lb for that and would be a big player here if replicating that form.
Returns after an absence having looked held by the handicapper on her last couple of starts in 2016. Clearly talented, especially on the basis of her third in a Group 3 in October, but it''s a slight concern that she was beaten at odds-on on her only previous start on a synthetic surface.
Lost his way towards the end of last year in some big field handicaps and has seen his mark gradually get lower as a result. Looks on a good weight now, and perhaps the return to a smaller field will help, especially as he hasn't always had the best temperament.
Struggled to get his head in front at a lower level than this on most of his recent starts, and though a break may have freshened him up, he doesn't look quite capable of performing at this level.
Has been running well in some low-level handicaps, including at this course, but a big step up will be needed in order for him to get competitive in a much classier field here.
Forecasts
A Momentofmadness (7/4), Robot Boy (2/1), Watchable (4/1), Southern Belle (12/1), Just Us Two (12/1), Just That Lord (16/1)
This can go to WATCHABLE. David O'Meara's charge acquitted himself well in the main during a busy spell in Dubai, which should mean he is fit for this easier assignment, with a fourth to Kimberella at Lingfield on his return to Britain also a good piece of form. With the assistance of a top all-weather jockey in Adam Kirby, he could prove to be the one to beat. Robot Boy is another who has been running recently and looks to be on a fair mark given recent evidence, while the return to a smaller field could suit A Momentofmadness.
- Watchable
- Robot Boy
- A Momentofmadness
