Progressed with each run as a juvenile and not highly tried on handicap debut with top rider booked. One to keep an eye on in the betting.
Ran to a consistent level last season until disappointing last time. Has first run since moving from Clive Cox. Has a chance on her best form if ready on return.
Won a nursery off 4lb lower and not disgraced since. Found little off the bridle on penultimate start and had more use made of him last time. Does not appeal as being well handicapped but there are few realistic alternatives.
Has looked green in three maidens but, with that education in the bank, she may be ready now her attentions are switched to handicapping. Stable are more than capable of preparing one in such a manner and she is another to note in the market.
Cost 120,000 guineas as a yearling but failed to progress as a juvenile. Of more interest now handicapping but the yard are not really firing at present.
Easy winner at Lingfield in January. Has run some good races in defeat since but last two runs have been dismal.
Ran well when switched to handicaps in November to finish behind horses who have gone well off higher marks since. Looks well treated here on return from a short break and yard are 3-8 in the past fortnight.
Jockey booking will arouse plenty of attention. Some tentative lines can be drawn from his Newbury debut to suggest he could be competitive off this mark. Nevertheless, with the yard having gone almost six months without a winner he is hard to recommend.
A disappointing sort who has not made the anticipated progress for the switch to handicaps. At this stage a recent gelding operation has been of most benefit to the vet.
Forecasts
Wily Rumpus (11/4), Il Sicario (3/1), Darkroom Angel (13/2), Orithia (7/1), Auric Goldfinger (9/1), Caspian Gold (9/1), Equal Rights (10/1), Miss M (14/1), Greyjoy (20/1)
A few of these are open to improvement now switching to handicap company in this low grade. Miss M and Il Sicario are the two that look most likely to improve for the switch whilst Equal Rights has the services of the champion jockey which appears a significant move. ORITHIA has to be the selection having fared well against horses who subsequently showed themselves to be well handicapped when taking her measure last winter. Only time will tell if there is another "dark horse" in this, but she is one of the few who can be seen as being well treated and the stable's current form adds further weight to the argument.
- Orithia
- Il Sicario
- Miss M
