Couldn't have been more impressive when returning from a break at Chelmsford last time and has won over C&D in a Group 3 contest last year. A repeat of her Chelmsford effort could be enough to take this and she may come on for that run so she looks like the one to beat.

Not won for over two years and the losing run now stands at 34. This looks like one of the classiest contests she has tackled to date so she's likely to struggle in this, even with a C&D win to her name and De Sousa in the saddle.

Clearly a mare on the upgrade and has won at this course three times, all over the mile. Didn't need to improve to win latest start when a 1/6 favourite against a weak field and will need to find roughly a stone if she's to be involved for win purposes here but very possible she'll be capable of a career best and may be able to grab a place.

Fairly exposed now and while she did bounce back from a disappointing effort at Wolverhampton two starts back, she failed to back that up last time at the same course, only beating one home. Wide draw will make life tough and looks to be out of her depth anyway.

All her wins have come at this course (one on turf) and has scored over C&D twice. Arrives in fine form having scored last time out over 6f and may still be improving but probably out of her depth in this and wide draw won't be easy to overcome.

Returned to form with a hat-trick of wins in the autumn, latest coming at this course over a furlong further. Front-running has appeared to be the making of her but not quite at her best in Meydan this year and hasn't had long to recover from those excursions. Fitted with cheekpieces for the first-time and hard to beat if she's at her best but been on the go for some time and may be a little vulnerable for win purposes.

Won a Listed race on the Polytrack at Deauville on only AW start but proved disappointing over in Meydan in two subsequent efforts this winter. Obvious claims if she's back to her best and already recorded a Group 3 and two Listed wins since joining this yard but has well-being to prove after a couple of recent lacklustre efforts.

Just one win from 24 starts and looks up against it in this company, bearing in mind she's been struggling to place in Class 3 contests.

Recorded her first win for this yard at Wolverhampton last time but not shown enough in any of her career starts to suggest she can take a hand in this.

C&D winner who has won four of her 12 starts but finished behind Shypen last time and that standard of form unlikely to be good enough to play any sort of part in this race.

Last year's winner of this contest but not been in the same form this year and often takes a keen hold in her races these days. Good second behind Ashadihan, her best recent effort, but failed to back that up at Newcastle last time and she needs to bounce back to the level she was at last year if she's to have a chance.

Forecasts

Muffri'Ha (1/1), Ashadihan (5/2), Realtra (6/1), Carolinae (10/1), Volunteer Point (18/1), Make Music (25/1), Bint Dandy (25/1), Shypen (33/1), Rebel Surge (50/1), Yeah Baby Yeah (50/1), Staintondale Lass (66/1), Lady Lydia (80/1)

Verdict

Volunteer Point returns in a bid to reclaim her crown but it looks like she has more on her plate this time around and she doesn't arrive in the same sort of form as she was in last year. Muffri'Ha brings the highest official rating into the race but she didn't look quite as effective in Meydan, however, she wouldn't need to be at her best to grab a place in this affair. Realtra is one with a similar profile but has had a little longer to recover from her efforts in Dubai so preference is for ASHADIHAN. She looked right back to her best when landing a Class 2 affair at Chelmsford last time and she's already shown a liking for this track having won a Group 3 contest here.
