1½L third to Music Major over 1m2f on the Lingfield Polytrack on his stable debut in late February. Previously, a 7F winner in Ireland for David Wachman, he could prove well suited by dropping back to this trip.
Not beaten too far on his recent return to action in a Newcastle 7F handicap that went the way of Foolaad. Has run respectably on Tapeta at Newcastle in each of his last three starts, but this trip is an unknown.
Won on turf (dead heat) over this sort of trip at Beverley in September 2016, but following a fairly productive winter on the AW is now 13lb higher. His form has possibly began to tail off lately, and is probably high enough for now.
Showed precious little in three starts in maidens between 1m and 1m4f, and has fared little better since switched to handicaps over 1m2f. Dropped in trip (and in the weights) but best avoided on all known form.
Won from a 2lb lower mark at Leicester in September 2016 (1m2f apprentices handicap), and was only beaten by ½L over that same trip by Pivotman here in October. Off since a couple of AW runs later that month and not discounted despite dropping back in trip off a six month break.
Veteran, but a ten time winner who has been kept mainly to synthetics since late 2015. Dropping in the weights with his stable in good form, and possibly slowly coming to hand on the AW but likely to find a few too good.
Unraced on turf, but a two time AW scorer (Wolverhampton and Chelmsford). Raised 2lb for last months nose success over this trip in Essex, and interesting to see how he fares on grass.
C&D winner from a 3lb lower mark in July 2016, and only lightly raced since. Posted a fair comeback on the Tapeta (admittedly in a seller) at Wolverhampton last month, and he looks the type to go either one way or the other on balance with the benefit of this race likely definitive, so watching brief advised.
Nine race maiden, with his best effort coming when a 2L runner up on the Southwell Fibresand early in the New Year (1m). Others have much more appealing overall profiles.
Bought for 6,5000 gns after winning a 7F seller for Richard Hannon at Leicester in September 2016, and races from the same mark of 60 back in handicap company, but others would appear to hold stronger claims.
Probably needed both of his recent Newcastle starts (absent since June 2016), and has been dropped 2lb, but isn't a frequent winner with his sole career success coming over 1m at Musselburgh last May when getting the run of the race out in front. Stable saddled a double at Newcastle late last month and could be returning to form.
Only beaten by ½L by Pivotman over this trip at Leicester last week, and has the benefit of a leading rider taking over in the saddle. Clear chance if reproducing that form, and unexposed for this trainer on turf (after just four previous AW runs for the yard).

Fire Tree (5/2), Fantasy Gladiator (4/1), Cosmic Ray (11/2), Transmitting (6/1), Scribner Creek (8/1), Stoneboat Bill (8/1), Bling King (12/1), So It's War (12/1), Adventureman (20/1), Poppy Time (20/1), Athollblair Boy (20/1), Walking In Rhythm (25/1), Candesta (33/1), Swiftee (50/1)
A wide open low grade handicap. Chelmsford winner Scribner Creek is an unknown on grass, and it will be interesting to see how he fares with the surface switch. Bling King has C&D winning form, but he's almost certainly had problems since then and this race looks definitive for his future career trajectory, whilst the likes of Athollblair Boy and So It's War haven't quite been up to winning down Newcastle's golden Tapeta highway. Therefore, the Pivotman angle is a good lead into this race with Stoneboat Bill much respected back from a break (with form closely tied up with Pivotman), who also saw off the selection COSMIC RAY by half a length at Leicester last week. Les Eyre is still getting to know this horse, and Paul Hanagan is a notable jockey booking.
