Lightly-raced maiden on the Flat, has been running over hurdles of late including a win at Cork in January over 2m. Makes handicap debut now back in this discipline and should run well
Filly has looked progressive on the AW over the winter, until last-time-out flop, can be forgiven that run and should have no problems at this trip on turf debut.
Run credibly enough in three turf maidens last year, been going well over hurdles in good company over the winter and open to plenty improvement making handicap debut in this sphere.
Maiden on the Flat after nine outings on grass, has run some solid enough races in that time but was well below par when last spotted jumping hurdles at Limerick last month.
Veteran was out of sorts on reappearance at Leopardstown six days ago over 1m2f, has something to prove going up trip after that effort but had been running nicely on AW earlier in the year.
Went close over this trip at Leopardstown in October off 1lb lower when last seen on the Flat, has been campaigned over jumps since and with just two starts in this discipline, has scope for improvement.
Bit below best form last month in two outings on AW at Wolverhampton, not ruled out of this on best form however.
Filly had some promising efforts in 2015 in Britain in the early days of her career but she didn't really build on them, first run for this trainer after leaving Mark Johnson and has something to find on form.
Mare has been doing some good work over jumps of late but she definitely has a bit to find in this field based on previous Flat form.
Well held in 1m2f Leopardstown handicap last week, extending winless record to seven in the process. Is 1lb lower for this but hard to envisage him breaking his duck.
A lightly-raced maiden who has shown some glimpses of ability on four AW runs, most recently in February when beat must over 4L on handicap bow over 1m2f at Dundalk. First experience of turf here.
Eight-race maiden on the Flat and has to discover a bit more from somewhere to have designs on this contest.
Authorized filly has been something of a letdown to date and remains a maiden after six starts, yet to even threaten the frame. Best watched for now.
Gelding won over shorter trip here in 2015, though struggled on most recent visit last June. Hasn't progressed as hoped and was out of sorts when last seen out over hurdles in January.
Ran a decent race in big-field handicap at the Curragh in October over this trip when last spotted, would have some each-way claims if ready to go on return to action.
Forecasts
Mydor (3/1), Head Turner (6/1), Solita (6/1), War Goddess (7/1), Lucca (8/1), Rolanna (10/1), Bien Chase (12/1), Indian Monsoon (14/1), Rock On Rosie (16/1), Not Touch (25/1), Kalann (25/1), Mr Smith (33/1), Carta Blanca (33/1), Malicious Intent (33/1), Silent Dreamer (66/1)
Mydor is potentially on a workable mark returning to this sphere for his shrewd trainer. He's likely to be short enough in the market but any support behind him would be worth noting with a decent claimer on his back to assist. A chance however is taken with WAR GODDESS on her first turf start. She has won well at Dundalk this winter and mostly been running good races and there remains scope for better from her. Solita is also very much one to note, given that she ran three nice races in maidens on the level last year and is now set for a handicap bow after a decent campaign over jumps.
- War Goddess
- Mydor
- Solita
