Filly ran fair race in 6f maiden at Naas last and has scope to do much better now handicapping with hood going on for the first time.
Admirable campaigner scored fifth career win on turf over this trip at Gowran Park in October, has been upped 4lb for that effort and will need to prove fitness here but shouldn't be ruled out.
Didn't really fulfil expectations with Mark Johnson, failed to register a win in ten turf runs. First run for new trainer now but has let backers down in the past so probably one to watch.
Another making his Irish debut having left the Richard Fahey yard, twice a winner in Britain last summer over 6f and while out of form afterwards, has potential to go well at these weights.
Struggled in a couple of runs at Dundalk late last year after close to 500 days on the sidelines, significant drop in trip for this turf return but other are much more appealing.
Well held at Navan in September on handicap debut over 6f, upped in trip but needs to find something more on evidence of four runs to date.
Scored over this trip at Dundalk in February, yet to record a win in ten starts on turf but must enter calculations.
Yet to win in six starts but has run some promising races and is weighted to have fair claims this evening if putting best foot forward.
An interesting contender given she has joined the Weld stable for this campaign, didn't set the world alight in three runs in maidens but there could well be plenty more to come. One to note in the betting.
Hasn't won since 2013, efforts last year were mostly underwhelming and hasn't run since August. Drops in trip and not without a hope, others look better placed.
Record stands at 1-22 in Flat turf contests to date, ran some decent races around the mile when last spotted in the autumn. Must prove fitness.
Forecasts
Arlecchino's Rock (11/2), Lady J (6/1), Archibald Thorburn (6/1), Tessonna (6/1), Laburnum Park (7/1), Mostawfee (8/1), Dasheen (10/1), Punches Pious (10/1), In My Place (12/1), Enough Is Enough (16/1), Spartan's Queen (25/1)
ARLECCHINO'S ROCK will enjoy a fitness advantage on some of these rivals having been running around Dundalk of late. He was on the mark at that track in February over this trip and may open his turf account now. Lady J isn't exactly being set a tough task on her handicap debut in what is her first start since joining this powerful trainer while Laburnum Park can get involved if running to best form. Tessonna is another making handicap bow that must be watched while the ex-Richard Fahey runner In My Place has the ability to have a big say in the finish.
- Arlecchino's Rock
- Lady J
- In My Place
