Cheap purchase, dam won over 6f and 1m; is the type to improve with experience; so best watched on debut.
Cost £20,000; dam is a half-sister to a winner of a Listed race over five furlongs. Represents a top yard, which won this corresponding race with a 14/1 shot last year; betting will indicate where he stands in the expectation held by the Fahey team.
Half-brother to 7f/1m winner Machete Mark, yard's youngsters tend to need at least a couple of outings before we see the best of them.
Cost £35,000 and interesting to see how the market reacts to his presence. Dam won over 9f, so possible he may be seen to better effect over slightly further.
Plenty of winners in his pedigree and, as a half-brother to useful sprinter Excel Bolt, he is bred to be effective at this sort of trip. Shrewd yard and another to watch in the betting.
Fetched €35,000 as a yearling, brother to Mukayins, who won over 5f and 6f for Kevin Ryan, so the yard knows the family traits. One to bear in mind if positive vibes abound.
Went for 16,000 gns as a yearling; is a half-brother to decent sprinter and represents a canny operation. Shortlisted as one to monitor closely.
Cost £36,000 and noteworthy that the services of Paul Hannigan have been secured for the ride. His dam won over 7f so also appeals as a long-term prospect.
A half-sister to a 10f winner in Italy, so possible she may find things happening a bit too quickly for her on this occasion and may need more time.
Cost €38,000; half-sister to a 6f winner as a youngster. Yard has a healthy strike-rate with its juveniles, so has to make the shortlist. The jockey, who is brimming with confidence at the present time, is a further positive.
Out of a dam that won over 5f and 6f, and related to handful of useful sprinters. Yard isn't really noted for first-time out winners, though.

Tember (4/1), Rockin Fella (5/1), Ventura Gold (5/1), Nobrassnolass (6/1), Marnie James (7/1), Inviolable Spirit (17/2), Sandytown (12/1), Lady Lintera (20/1), Savannah's Show (20/1), Watching Spirits (20/1), Just For The Craic (25/1), Brandy Station (40/1)
Notebooks to the ready for what looks likely to be an informative little contest. Ventura Gold looks the preferred option from the Richard Fahey entries and will be worth noting in the betting, while Rockin Fella and Tember represent yards that have to be respected with runners of this nature and are worthy alternatives. However, NOBRASSNOLASS catches the eye as a likely precocious type and can get set the ball rolling in good style as the first juvenile runner of the new Turf season to be sent out by the Tom Dascombe yard.
- Nobrassnolass
- Ventura Gold
- Rockin Fella
