Makes his first racecourse appearance since November and races at this trip for the first time June 2012. Hasn't been in good form recently and will need to find plenty more off top weight in order to get competitive against rivals who have more obvious recent form over this distance.
Has only seemed to be improving with his recent starts, including two impressive displays when winning on the Tapeta at Newcastle over similar distances to this. Fourth a Southwell when last seen but that was on a surface that may not have suited over a slightly sharp trip; leading contender here.
Blew out slightly at Bath last time out when seeking a fourth top two finish is as many racecourse appearances. May have found her handicapping limit and the fact that this is her first run since that day in September won't make this any easier.
Has been running consistently recently, maybe finding his stamina stretched when asked to extend to staying trips the last twice. Isn't getting any younger but looks to be one of the more talented contenders in this field.
C&D winner who is an experienced hand round here, and has shown on recent starts that he retains some of his old ability, including when beaten just 4¼L over C&D in a more competitive heat last time. Player.

GO GEORGE GO might have recently ended his winning streak but he has still been racing consistently in some good races and could prove the one to be on now returned to his favoured Tapeta surface. He remains on the same mark as a close third two starts ago and looks the best option ahead of Saint Thomas, who continues to show ability in his advancing years, and Percys Princess, a C&D winner who ran well round here last time.
