Returns to Britain for the first time in several years having mostly been running poorly in France. Perhaps the change of scenery will help him, but by and large he seems up against it in this company.
Makes only his second appearance on Tapeta having been running well at Southwell recently. Current handicap rating seems fair and he has strong claims if transferring recent form from the deeper Fibresand surface.
Handicap mark is decreasing at a rate of knows following some disappointing recent performances. Blinkers are also added to help here but he will have to put some of his recent runs behind him.
Returns after a fair break having looked like the handicapper had her measure during last summer. Entitled to come on for this first run of 2017 and is best watched here.
Didn't appear to stay 2m when tried again at that trip last time, and his record at this trip is much more appealing. On the same mark as when narrowly beaten over a but further at this course in December and he should go well.
Hasn't won since February 2015 having changed yards several times since then, including once to Gordon Elliott's. Mark is low enough after his recent showings, but he looks to lack the ability now that has seen him win twice on the Flat before.
Won at Brighton last summer but has shown very little since, including when pulled up in a hurdle at Stratford at 100/1 last time out. Is lower than that winning mark at Brighton though, and so could bounce back.
Not totally disgraced in recent performances, including when when finishing fifth of seven over further at Chelmsford last time out, and is 1lb lower here. Has the assistance of a first time visor here which could spark some improvement.
Has to put a couple of forgettable recent performances over hurdles behind him here if he's to get competitive but he does go better on the Flat despite remaining a maiden after 11 start all-told. Cheek pieces on.
Without a win since July 2015 but on such a low mark it's impossible to ignore his claims, despite his advancing years, because he's still been running some decent races in defeat.
Has lost his way somewhat this year having run some consistent races last term. Claims if returning to that better for on a surface that we know he handles.

Forecasts
Rembrandt (7/2), Thorntoun Care (6/1), Cold Fusion (13/2), Just Fred (7/1), Lineman (15/2), Senor George (8/1), Steady Major (17/2), Thou Swell (10/1), Cool Music (12/1), Haaffa Sovereign (14/1), Fire In Babylon (20/1), Lady Rocka (28/1)
There isn't much recent winning form in this field at all, but Thou Swell should be able to get involved on the back of some eye-catching recent performances at Southwell, if able to make the switch to Tapeta. FIRE IN BABYLON, though, makes more appeal as a C&D winner who has sunk to a very low mark after some poor recent runs. Perhaps a return to this course, which we know he likes, can bring about the necessary improvement. Just Fred, who also goes on this surface, could be third best.
