Won a fair handicap at Newmarket in May last year, but has failed to build on that since, having been tried at a wide variety of trips. Has won his only try over this C&D but doesn't look to be in the form to win this.
Has run three good race since a return from a long break earlier in the year, with a 1½L beating in a similar race to this last time out the best of those. Lightly raced for his age given he missed his three year old campaign, and he should go well here.
C&D winner who has been running very well so far this year, with two narrow victories and a pair of addition close thirds. Remains on the same mark as when third over this trip at Lingfield last time out and should go well.
Hat trick seeker who returns to handicap company having won well in selling and claiming company on his past two starts. Has been reinvented as a staying prospect recently and remains unexposed in this sphere. Leading contender.
Hasn't won in over a year despite being frequently raced, but was beaten only a neck by Midtech Star last time out. Gets less of a pull in the weights from that one today, but the first time hood could help him go close.

Forecasts
Ardamir (2/1), Midtech Star (9/4), Every Chance (7/2), Farquhar (6/1), John Reel (7/1), Cotton Club (7/1), Luv U Whatever (8/1), Sennockian Star (10/1), Handiwork (14/1)
LUV U WHATEVER has been reinvented as a stayer recently and there could be plenty more to come over these sorts of trips. He's been winning in selling and claiming company, so this is something of a step up, but he looks more than capable of taking it in his stride. Midtech Star is one of a few C&D winners in the field who should go well after running consistently recently, while Every Chance could build on some promising recent runs after a return from a break.
