Step up to 1m2f saw him break his duck at the 11th attempt. Beat some moderate horses with ease that day. A 7lb rise looks harsh on paper but the quality of opponent here looks similar.
Bred for middle distances so chances are we will get a better idea of his ability now that he steps up in distance and starts a career in handicaps. Best watched today but a positive market move in a poor race would make him interesting.
More was expected on her handicap debut when she was well beaten in a similarly weak race. Was soon getting reminders that day and checked out just after halfway. Hard to recommend on that evidence and the fitting of blinkers raises concerns about her attitude.
Previous form does not hint that he will stay this far but, as the trainer handled both the sire and dam, there may be some merit in giving it a go. Has been fancied off higher marks on his last four starts so not one to dismiss lightly.
Has appeared in need of this trip and just came up against a better horse on his first attempt at it at Wolverhampton. A line through the fourth, Bessemer Lady, gives him a slight edge edge over Nothing Compares.
Has tried a variety of headgear recently but the aids are left off for his first attempt at this trip. Has shown ability when noted putting in his best work at the finish of a couple of 7f races. It will be interesting to see if the market indicates the extra half mile will make a big difference.
Forecasts
Moneyoryourlife (5/6), Av A Word (7/2), Look My Way (6/1), Too Many Shots (13/2), Nothing Compares (14/1), Bartholomew J (28/1)
MONEYORYOURLIFE has been hit by a 7lb rise for his latest success. That looks a tough task on paper but he is the only one in this lineup who appears to be improving and with the yard in good form he looks the most likely candidate. Av A Word has looked one paced but this longer trip saw him produce one his better performances last time. He rates the main danger ahead of Too Many Shots who has been attracting support lately. He, Look My Way and Bartholomew J would not have to find much for the switch to 1m4f to be factors in a moderate race. They make more appeal than Nothing Compares. She was never travelling well last time and the blinkers are going to have to spark huge improvement.
