Bred to be a decent middle distance performer and there was no shame in his debut defeat in a Nottingham maiden last backend over the extended mile. This trip looks ideal and he is likely to be tough to beat provided the hood has the desired effect.
Out of a US Graded-placed mare over an extended 1m who is a full-sister to US 1m/1m1f runner Winter Games, out of UAE 1,000 Guineas and Oaks winning granddaughter of US champion family style. Racecourse debut today and yard flying at present so one to note in market, though strange that he is started over this far.
Runner-up in a Chelmsford maiden (1m) in October and beaten favourite in similar contest at Wolverhampton last month, when racing as if this extra half mile would be a positive. Should be cherry-ripe now and can get competitive.
Placed in both his maidens so far over shorter than this and arguably a little unlucky last time. Step up in trip a likely positive on the evidence of that run, though yard a little thin on winners just lately.
Runner-up in her first two maidens, both at Kempton over 1m, and not beaten far when odds-on favourite at Lingfield last time. Worth a try at this trip given that she was tapped for toe last time out and cannot be ruled out.
Forecasts
Face The Facts (13/8), Glassy Waters (7/4), Sufi (4/1), Flight Of Fantasy (12/1), Waterville Dancer (16/1)
An interesting little contest where Sufi and Face The Facts should both be able to ave a say in the outcome, while Glassy Waters is clearly a debutante to note. However, FLIGHT OF FANTASY looked like she was crying out for this trip at Lingfield last time and there is no reason why she won't act on turf, so her superior race fitness might be good enough to win it.
