Set to race from 3lb lower than her last winning mark, but is on a long losing run that stretches back to May 2015, and has become frustrating to follow. Recent efforts have hinted at a revival but she still has a lot to prove from the head of the weights. Her in-form rider takes a handy 5lb off with his claim, so feasible she can rise to the challenge.

Won off 73 at Windsor last summer but found her revised mark beyond her in a couple of subsequent outings. Now given another chance by the handicapper but makes her Polytrack debut and needs to prove she can adapt to the demands of the surface.

A dual C&D winner and is just 1lb higher than her last winning mark. But she has been out of sorts lately and may be best watched until she starts to show more interest. May also need to drop a little further in the weights before she can truly be considered as being on a competitive mark.

Shot up the ratings after a couple of smooth performances at Chelmsford and Wolverhampton respectively. However, she was readily brushed aside when making her course debut at Kempton last time out and needs to be much sharper this time around. Hard to see where the requisite improvement will come from but her rider's 5lb claim may come into play if she can pull something out of the fire.

Likes to race with the pace and can certainly help to make this a stern test. However, she has never been at her best on this surface and others look to hold more solid claims of remaining competitive at the business end tonight.

Made good progress over the course of last season; registering a couple of deserved successes over 7f at Wolverhampton. Yet to really convince that she as effective over sprint distances and also needs to prove that she copes with a Polytrack surface; but is respected as a likely candidate to ensure this is run at a good clip nevertheless.

A multiple winner on the AW over 7f but is effective at this trip when she puts her mind to the task in hand. Back on a winning mark, though and shaped as if worth another try at 6f when fading near the finish at Chelmsford last week. One to keep tabs on in the betting.

Been in good form of late and finds herself on a career highest mark as a result. However, she held her own in a slightly better race than this at Chelmsford last month and will be in the thick of the action if she can dish out a repeat dose. One for the shortlist.

Arguably better over the minimum trip but has gone close over 6f on a couple of occasions. Promoted to fifth after the winner was disqualified at Chelmsford on Saturday but is likely to be sharper for the run. Interesting to note Luke Morris keeps the ride and the partnership should not be underestimated from the foot of the handicap.

Forecasts

Childesplay (15/8), Be Royale (5/1), K'gari Spirit (6/1), Assertive Agent (7/1), Arize (8/1), Nightingale Valley (14/1), Nag's Wag (14/1), Andalusite (16/1), Monarch Maid (25/1)

Verdict

This is more than likely going to be run at fair pace, which will play to the strengths of BE ROYALE, who created the impression that she may be worth another try over this trip when just run out of things near the finish at Chelmsford last weekend. The first-time visor may help to sharpen up Andalusite who is quickly reunited with Luke Morris after also catching the eye in defeat on Chelmsford's card on Saturday night. Assertive Agent also has a similar profile and looks a safer option than Arize, who is respected but needs to prove she is effective on a Polytrack surface.
  1. Be Royale
  2. Andalusite
  3. Assertive Agent
