Up 6lb for win over 7f here a week ago, had previously run well enough in two mile starts at the track and should go well again in current mood.

Filly was well beaten over C&D last month on penultimate start, similar tale since on turf at Leopardstown and, while she's capable of better, hard to recommend at the moment.

Gained only AW win in ten starts at this track over 7f in January, struggled to replicate that since off increased mark and probably still a bit high in the ratings for now.

Hasn't managed to beat a rival home in two runs this C&D so far this year, drops another 2lb and gets cheekpieces back on but looks best watched.

Gained second course win of the year at this trip a fortnight ago in good style, raised 6lb on the strength of that effort but likely to have a major say once more.

Yet to run on an artificial surface but has previously run well on the beach at Laytown, off since handicap chase at Tipperary in October and was out of sorts when last seen on the Flat.

A maiden after seven outings on the turf, though did run a pleasing race to be second over this trip at Killarney last summer and could have a say on AW bow.

C&D winner in December and never far away in three runs since. Get 1lb back from the assessor now and that should help his cause.

More than two years since C&D win, bit laboured looking in two runs over 7f here last month and comes with plenty risks attached currently.

Ran a solid race over C&D a fortnight ago to be third of 13, beaten just over 3L. That was first start for new trainer and, running off the same mark, could be set to build on it.

Showed some promise in three autumn runs at this venue, much less to be positive about in two outings this year with latest in February seeing him last of 14 over 7f. Upped in trip again now but not one to be siding with at the moment it seems.

Has been running respectably around here in two more recent runs without threatening to win, is now 2lb lower in ratings and dangerous to write off completely.

Nelly Sarsfield192
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-4| J: D M Melia| T: D Kinsella| OR:  45

Toiled in three maidens on the Flat, goes up significantly in trip now for AW and handicap debut but makes little appeal on these terms.

Forecasts

Tennesse Waltz (5/2), Elusive Approach (11/4), Set To Fire (7/1), Easy Boy (8/1), Alans Pride (8/1), World's Greatest (10/1), You Gotta Move (12/1), Path Of Silver (16/1), Usa (20/1), Illusive Force (25/1), Indian Tomahawk (25/1), Barbel (25/1), Nelly Sarsfield (40/1)

Verdict

More was perhaps expected of Alans Pride in the wake of his January win around here but, as yet, he hasn't really gone on with things. Elusive Approach did things nicely a week ago and should be competitive again despite a 6lb hike but arguably there is more potential from TENNESSEE WALTZ who is also going to shoulder 6lb extra having won here a fortnight ago over this trip. That was his second win of the calendar year and it seems there could well be more to offer. Set To Fire was an eyecatcher on debut for his new trainer recently at this track and, racing off the same mark, should be given due respect. Easy Boy, a C&D winner in December, is another worth considering.
