Should come on for her run at Newcastle two weeks ago following a nine month break when not beaten far in a race run at a steady pace. May have been flattered by her proximity to the winner that day and this looks tougher. Longer trip will suit though and stable's horses have been running well.
Has gone up 14lb for completing a hat-trick of wins at Kempton (1m2f), Lingfield (1m4f) and back at Kempton (1m4f) last week. Has to prove that he handles this track/surface (well beaten here on only start), but remains unexposed and should be tough to beat.
Tries a new trip having mainly campaigned over 9f-10f. Sole win came in a strongly run race and probably best watched here in a race with no obvious pacemaker.
Has produced two good efforts in this grade recently. No disgrace in defeat last time to an in form and strongly fancied rival.Yard are 2-7 in past fortnight.
Veteran dual purpose C&D winner who hasn't won on the AW since November 2014. Has shown he still has ability but latest effort was woeful.
Interesting on debut for powerful Irish yard. Pedigree suggests this trip is pushing him too far on his first run for almost two years. Yard are 4-26 on previous raids here over the past five seasons.
Failed to stay this trip on only previous attempt in 2015. Remains a maiden after 15 races but recent performances suggest she is worth another try at this trip.
Produced an improved display in the first time hood but failed to back up that effort next time. Trainer stepping him up considerably in trip but pedigree suggests his stamina is not assured.
Forecasts
Smiley Bagel (15/8), Pour L'Amour (5/2), Inflexiball (6/1), King Oswald (8/1), Innoko (12/1), Lady Clitico (14/1), Frap (22/1), Dembaba (22/1)
Smiley Bagel will be a short price to complete a four-timer. A further 6lb rise for beating exposed horses last time should make him vulnerable. In truth the opposition here does not look that strong based on recent form. POUR L'AMOUR, however, has produced two good runs recently for her in form trainer. There was no disgrace in defeat last time in a better race than this and compensation awaits. Inflexiball usually gives her running but is yet to cross the line in front. Another bold show is anticipated but again she may find one or two too strong.
- Pour L'amour
- Smiley Bagel
- Inflexiball
