Already looking a better chaser than hurdler and held out for a game win over C&D (good) last month. Ensuing 7lb rise for that win looks on the harsh side but another bold bid likely with young rider taking off that weight.
Strike-rate isn't brilliant, having won just twice from 36 chase starts but his mark had slipped accordingly and he bounced back to form when narrowly failing to reel in Bugsie Malone over C&D last time. Raised 4lb but respected.
Both chase wins have come at Ffos Las, having dead-heated there on his penultimate start over 3m (good) in November. Just looked in need of the run when returning from a break over hurdles at Newbury last month but looks a player here.
Bumper winner who also scored in a staying hurdle event a year ago. Unconvincing initially over fences but a better effort when third behind Petite Power over 3m (good to soft) at Huntingdon last time. Hard to rule out.
Only chase win came in the mud over 2m7f at Taunton over a year ago and prone to jumping errors since, as again evidenced by a fall at Wincanton last time. For all that, the suspicion is that he remains fairly-treated.
Hurdles winner who shaped with promise when a runner-up on his chasing debut at Market Rasen (2m3f, soft). Was still was travelling ok until a bad mistake behind Bugsie Malone over C&D latest and is very much respected. Change of headgear.
A 3m soft ground hurdle winner at Newbury a year ago but a mixed bag over fences so far, though he jumped a lot better over C&D last time when third behind Bugsie Malone and Cloudy Bob. More needed now.
Goes well on right-handed tracks, as evidenced by successive chase wins at Musselburgh and Market Rasen earlier this year. Didn't jump as well when only fourth under a penalty at Catterick and something to prove stepping beyond 2m4f for the first time.
Only win from 18 career starts came in a chase over 2m4f (good to soft) in November and returns to the same mark today following three lesser subsequent efforts. Others look more convincing on balance.

Bugsie Malone, Cloudy Bob and Get Involved filled the places in a similar race over C&D 17 days ago and a case could be made for each on these revised terms but the horse to take out of that race may actually be HANDSOME SAM. Alan King's charge was travelling strongly until a bad mistake four out knocked the stuffing out of him and the suspicion remains that he is potentially well-treated with improvement to come. Bronco Billy and Globalisation are also interesting.
