Two-time scorer on the AW when in the care of Tommy Stack and has joined powerful jumps yard ahead of hurdles bow. Looks to have a big role in this.
Hasn't shown enough in three outings over timber to merit support now, beaten 87L at Limerick over this trip 15 days ago.
Finished down the field on hurdles bow at Leopardstown in January over this trip in a race won by Melon, has scope to improve on that effort.
A €48,000 3-y-o, Kapgarde gelding, he is well-related to five winners including the prolific Cafe De Paris. One to monitor in the market for racecourse debut.
Has shown enough in three outings over sticks this year to suggest there is a race like this in him. Should be involved in the finish.
Winning form on the Flat came on much quicker surfaces, well held over this C&D last month when beaten 45L. Needs to show plenty more to get involved.
Failed to register in six Flat runs and finished fourth of five over this trip at Cork on hurdles debut just over a week ago. Has plenty to find on that evidence.
Modest winner on the Flat in Britain, has plenty work to do having finished 33L third of five runners in a Limerick maiden hurdle a fortnight ago on first outing for this yard.
The second of two former Tommy Stack Flat inmates to make hurdles debut here, a fair way behind A Shin Impala in that sphere and has been off the track for seven months.
First two outings in big field maiden hurdles were promising, fared less well in nine-runner event at Wexford over this trip latest, beaten just over 5L in fifth having gone off favourite.
Was 66/1 on jumps bow when moderate third of 14 at Gowran Park on heavy ground early last month. Failed to build on that in a bumper at Thurles since and might be playing for places at best in this.
Forecasts
Theydon Park (6/4), A Shin Impala (4/1), From Eden (9/2), Look Closer (7/1), Oromo (10/1), Alaliya (14/1), Diamond Warrior (14/1), Muroor (25/1), Dundeedy Lad (25/1), Molten Gold (33/1), Class Honours (100/1)
A SHIN IMPALA could scarcely have joined a better team for his jumps career and this two-time winner on the AW may be able to hit the ground running in what looks a relatively weak contest. His trainer is in fine form and he should know his job. Theydon Park rather let himself down at Wexford last time, failing to justify favouritism. He had shown some promise previously however and isn't to be overlooked just yet. From Eden deserves a place on the shortlist on what he's done so far while newcomer Dundeedy Lad is one to keep an eye on in the betting as he's bred to do well.
- A Shin Impala
- Theydon Park
- Dundeedy Lad
