Twice beaten in maiden events at York last autumn with the latest of those coming over today's 7f distance. Half-brother to five time winner Ruler Of France but likely to fair better once tackling handicaps.
Unraced son of Dubawi. Dam a dual Group 1 winner over 1m2f, also winner of a Listed event over 1m as a three-year-old. Represents top connections and likely to run well on debut.
Unraced gelded son of Big Bad Bob. Purchased for 19,000 gns as a yearling in 2015. Half-brother to winning sprinter Helen's Choice & to winning mare Cloudracer. Worth a check in the market here.
Doing his best work late on having been held up in a 7f contest at Salisbury on good-to-soft ground on his sole start of 2016. Likely to have come on for that run and interesting in this.
Beaten a neck over an extended 1m at Windsor on his third outing as a juvenile in October. Drops back to 7f for this seasonal appearance and trainer in decent form (3/12) at present.
Well beaten at big prices in two maiden events at this track last year. Likely to fair better once tackling handicaps.
Finished 9l sixth in a 6f selling event at York on his sole start last season. Has been gelded since but looks up against it here.
Beaten a head when making his racecourse debut in a 6f soft ground event at Newbury in September. Shaped as if this step up in trip would suit on that occasion and likely to play a leading role in this.
Unraced gelded son of Harbour Watch. Expensive yearling purchase but cost current connections just 20,000 gns at the sales in October. Half-brother to nine time winner Perfect Cracker but likely to improve for this experience.
Unraced gelded son of Cape Blanco. Dam a winner of her debut over 6f as a juvenile and plenty of speed in this one's pedigree. Market support would be interesting here.
Unraced gelding by Haafhd. Bought back in very cheaply at the sales as a yearling in 2015. Dam a 7f handicap winner as a three-year-old. Likely to improve for this experience.
Unraced daughter of Casamento. Purchased for £26,000 as a yearling and a half-sister to a couple of placed Flat horses. Dam a winner over 6f and worth a check in the market for a yard in good form (3/9) at present.
Forecasts
Benbatl (15/8), Natajack (5/2), Jewel House (11/4), Eburaci (16/1), Bob Maxwell (20/1), Aelius (20/1), Made Of Honour (25/1), Mr Skinnylegs (50/1), Oregon Point (66/1), New Tale (100/1), Rock Island Line (150/1), Kaeso (150/1)
NATAJACK is taken to get off the mark at the second time of asking in what looks a competitive affair. The selection was purchased for 40,000 gns at the sales in October having been impeded slightly when finishing runner-up on his debut at Newbury the previous month. This extra furlong should suit the selection and he can get the better of Jewel House who drops in trip here and hails from a yard that sent out the winner of this in 2010 and have a 25% strike-rate at present. Third place can go the way of the unraced filly Made Of Honour who also represents an in form stable in this.
- Natajack
- Jewel House
- Made Of Honour
