Likely to improve when stepped up in trip and already has something to prove after missing the break and posting a poor effort over C&D on debut. Hard to fancy on that evidence.
2

Horse silk
50/1
Has experience of the C&D and posted a better effort last time out. Needs to find a little more but going the right way. May do better in handicaps, though.

Cost €55,000 and is out of a useful performer at up to 1m. He was slowly away on debut and showed his inexperience. More required this time around.

Horse silk
5/4
Cost €160,00 and is bred to get a little further in due course. Posted a respectable effort on debut over this trip at Lingfield last October; normal improvement should see him in the thick of the action.

11/4
Cost 420,000 gns and made steady progress as a youngster last season. The form of his Newmarket third last October reads well in the context of this race and he may be capable of a fair bit more this term. Currently rated 75, he sets the standard tonight.

Horse silk
20/1
Cost €130,000 as a yearling and his breeding suggests at least a mile will be ideal for him. Sure to have learned plenty from his debut at Lingfield earlier this month, he appeals as a likely candidate if he can adapt to this course lay-out and surface.

Has a likeable pedigree and is introduced at a realistic level. Looks the more interesting contender of the yard's entries for this on paper and is one to bear in mind when the betting starts to warm up.

Dam is a half-sister to the very useful sprinter Kingsgate Native but is also related to high-class milers. Needs to improve on last season's form but worth a check in the betting.
Debatable as to whether this trip will suit ideally but represent a top yard and has time on his side. One to keep tabs on from here whatever happens.

Steps up in trip after two fair efforts in defeat at Lingfield since the turn of the year; well backed last time so now has a bit to prove. Yard does extremely well with unexposed handicappers, so very feasible that the best will be seen of her when she tackles that phase of her racing career.

Forecasts

Carigrad (5/4), Farook (11/4), Mulzim (6/1), Time's Arrow (7/1), Moolazim (12/1), Miss Mirabeau (16/1), Gunmaker (20/1), Bobbio (33/1), Badenscoth (50/1), Tilsworth Lukey (100/1)

Verdict

Not much to go on but FAROOK sets a fair standard for the rest to aim at and will be hard to master if he can build on the form he posted at Newmarket at the back-end of last season. Carigrad is another interesting type for a race of this nature, while Gunmaker should make his presence know if he handles racing on this surface.
