Very capable when he gets it right and ended a long losing sequence when he won gamely under tonight's rider at Wolverhampton last week. Just 2lb higher this time around, he has a solid chance at the weights and, given that he has won over C&D from his current rating, the portents for coping with topweight look good. Can sometimes ruin his chances with a slow start, though.
Very consistent on the AW and has won almost a fifth of his 44 starts in this particular area of racing. However, he is paying the price in terms of ratings and, from a 6lb higher than for his latest winning mark, he needs to post a career best to come out on top.
Versatile regarding his best trip, he has won from sprint distances up to a mile. 5F seems to suit him well these days and the return to Chelmsford shouldn't be an issue for him. Of more concern is the fact that the handicapper seems to have his measure just and now and he needs to be at his very best on these terms.
Finished behind Foxy Forever at Wolverhampton last week but is 2lb better off tonight. Feasible that he can turn the tables but worth bearing in mind that he is still 4lb higher than for February's C&D win. Also well drawn but never won off a mark this high before.
Not seen out for a while so should have been freshened up by the break. However, he is still 2lb above his last winning mark and, given that his form tailed off badly last year, he may be best watched as he makes his debut for a new yard.
Claimed for £5,000 after winning his penultimate start at Wolverhampton and immediately produced a return by landing a modest handicap over C&D last week. Up in class and 2lb higher in the ratings, he faces a tough test in his bid for a hat-trick. However, he is on a role just now and, given that he has a C&D success off a mark of 74 to his name, he shouldn't be underestimated.
Bought for 75,000 gns, this son of Arch repaid the first instalment with a smooth performance to land a 5f maiden at Newcastle without too much fuss earlier this month. His dam won over a mile in the States, so he has plenty of scope for improvement whatever happens here. Potentially on a very lenient mark and, from a handy draw, has to merit serious consideration.
Into the veteran stage of his career and has been a grand servant to all his connections. However, he is really struggling to find his form just now and not even the reflected glory of his past exploits can initiate the leap of faith required to follow him at present.
Won a couple of times off a mark of 80 during his time in Ireland but has been way below that level in her starts for her current yard. Not hard to oppose just now.

Hard to get away from the potential held by ROCK OF AMERICA, who blitzed through the test of a maiden at Newcastle and steps into handicap company from a potentially lenient mark. Foxy Forever bounced back to form last time out and can make this a good test for the selection. However, the same has to be said about Malaysian Boleh, who has been revitalised of late and, considering that he has won off higher marks in the past, he has to come into the reckoning in modest heat like this. Zipedeedodah and Captain Lars are best of the rest.
