First foal and the dam showed some ability in bumpers. Yard have had success first-time out in bumpers and exceed expectations in this sphere.
Yard have a poor record with their runners first time out in bumpers. Dam 3m1f hurdle winner and on pedigree will need further than this trip.

This yard are always to be respected in bumpers with a strike-rate of 25% overall. This will be his fourth start in bumpers with the best so far coming on his penultimate start at Southwell but does appear to need more emphasis on stamina.

Stable have been in sparkling form in the last few weeks although their record in this sphere is moderate. This one has proved very moderate so far in two bumpers and finished last on his latest start.
Stable are yet to have a bumper winner from limited opportunities (0/4) and it would be a surprise if that record improved here.

Two starts so far in bumpers and showed improved form last time out in an AW bumper at Lingfield. Disappointed on her debut over C&D but better expected now with that run under her belt.

Stable not noted for their record in bumpers but this one might be better than she showed last time out when faced with a relative speed test in an AW bumper. Should be able to make her mark in this sphere based on her debut run and one of the more likely sorts.

This yard are always to be respected around this track in any sphere although this one will need to improve on what she has done so far.

Very much bred to be better in time and over further and even this test looks rather sharp for her.

Forecasts

Jubilympics (9/4), Major Davis (7/2), Huntress (4/1), Russian Approval (11/2), Paddy's Poem (6/1), By The Fireside (15/2), Ballintara (14/1), Sunshine Mountain (14/1), Miss Malarky (33/1), Carrie On Dubai (50/1)

Verdict

The best form is represented by Jubilympics but this is a different test to the one that she faced last time out and the short prices don’t really appeal. Major Davis comes from a yard that always has to be respected in this sphere and Huntress should also enter the equation. Overall though PADDY’S POEM showed enough on his debut to be of interest especially with the yard’s very good record in bumpers around this track.
  1. Paddy's Poem
  2. Major Davis
  3. Jubilympics
