Stepped up on debut eighth at Gowran Park when successful from subsequent winner Finn McCool at The Curragh over 7f in September. Interesting on handicap debut.
Winner at Leopardstown in June but highly tried since including in Group company three times. Well beaten ninth in a prestigious handicap over 6f here in October and jockey bookings suggest she is the second string here.
Winner at Fairyhouse over 6f in June an run well in the main since. Finished 1½L fourth having been slowly away in a handicap at Leopardstown in October and worth a check in the market here.
Put a poor run at Leopardstown on debut behind her when justifying favouritism at Gowran Park over 1m in October. Drop in trip not certain to suit but represents top connections in this.
Finished in the first three in all four outings as a two-year-old. Latest of those came when beaten a neck on the AW over 1m at Dundalk in October. Worth a check in the market on handicap debut.
Winner at Limerick in first time blinkers over this trip in October. Disappointed here in a sales race (Massif Central third on that occasion) over C&D subsequently and has been gelded since.
Had four outings without success as a two-year-old but tongue tie and cheekpieces combination has shown him in a better light for his new yard. Races off a 10lb higher mark than when successful at Dundalk earlier this month and interesting in this.
Winner at The Curragh over 6f in August and not beaten far in a handicap over the minimum trip here subsequently. Well beaten in a valuable nursery here last time out and makes his first start since being gelded here.
Dead-heated for first at Listowel in June last year and hasn't been seen since finishing sixth at Leopardstown later that month. Worth a check in the market here.
Wearing a first time hood when victorious in a claiming event at Dundalk a fortnight ago. Placed off this mark over 1m at the same track two starts earlier and interesting to see how he fares here.
Winner at Hamilton in September last year and has been kept busy since. Wore first time cheekpieces when fourth of five having been hampered at Wolverhampton last month but interesting with trip and ground likely to suit.
Best effort as a juvenile came when third over this trip at Dunfdalk on his penultimate outing. Finished well beaten over 1m1f subsequently but has a top jockey booked though racing from 1lb out of the handicap here.
Forecasts
Massif Central (5/1), Party Tiger (11/2), Hansian Prince (6/1), Hailstone (7/1), Zelaniya (7/1), Gino Severini (8/1), Circus Ring (8/1), Vociferous Marina (8/1), Elusive Beauty (14/1), Oh Grace (16/1), Mr Adjudicator (20/1), Red Sabor (22/1)
In a trappy three-year-old handicap it is GINO SEVERINI who is taken to step up on his maiden effort's last year by taking this 7f event on handicap debut. The best of those maiden efforts came when finishing third at Dundalk in September in a contest won by a subsequent Listed winner and he is well drawn in stall number 12 for a yard that often do well early in the season. Of his rivals here Zelaniya and Circus Ring both hail from top stables with the last named winning at Dundalk earlier this month off a 10lb lower mark. Vociferous Marina is another to note in this having won her final start of 2016 at The Curragh in September.
- Gino Severini
- Zelaniya
- Circus Ring
