First run for this yard having previously been trained in France. Showed some decent form in two outings over a mile and makes his AW debut.

Had one outing on a racecourse and finished last in a bumper at Newcastle. Makes his Flat debut now and others are preferred.

Had three outings in maidens so far and steps up to a mile for the first time having been a beaten favourite here last time out and looking a little one-paced. His previous race at Newcastle (finished runner-up) has worked out well though and he should be given another chance to reproduce that run.

Makes his AW debut having had one run on the turf last year at Newbury over 6f (finished last of eight). Would need to improve on the bare form of that run to take a hand.

Cost £70,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to several winners. Yard not adverse to producing winners in this sphere first-time out and of interest in this.

Well held in a back-end Newmarket 7f maiden when he was big and backward. Tongue-tie goes on for the first time on his AW debut and it may well be that he'll be of more interest in handicaps given the modus operandi of the yard.

Weak in the betting for his debut over a mile at Kempton Park in a maiden. Showed some ability there and the race will surely bring him on and he could well show further improvement on his second start.

Tristram
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: S W Kelly| T: R Hughes
20/1
Nicely-bred gelding by Sinndar with the dam being a half-sister to the 2m Listed winner King Of Wands. Given his pedigree he's likely to prove suited by further and may find one or two a little speedy for him on his debut.

Forecasts

Arnarson (11/8), Hippocampus (4/1), Detachment (11/2), The Raven Master (11/2), Glorious Power (10/1), Tristram (20/1), Mister Flip Flop (25/1), Pushjockeypush (40/1)

Verdict

Some interesting types in this with the form standard being set by ARNARSON who while slightly disappointing last time out deserves another chance based on his Newcastle run. The Raven Master looks a likely improver after his first run with Detachment and Hippocampus two others expected to take a hand in this.
  1. Arnarson
  2. The Raven Master
  3. Detachment
