Lightly raced on the AW and the winner of a small field handicap here in February over 7f off the same mark. Well beaten last time out though and question marks over his overall form as he tries this trip for the first time.
Winner on her only visit to the course when breaking her maiden last time out over 7f winning by 3L. Now returns to handicaps for the second time off a mark 1lb lower than her handicap debut and trying this distance for the first time.
Yet to run here but has had his last seven runs on an AW surface breaking his maiden in a Wolverhampton handicap (1m1f) last time out. Showed improved form there and if the visor (worn for the second time last time) continues to work he could make a bold bid to follow-up that win here.
Only had two runs and the most recent of those came in the Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot over 6f. Had scored in a Redcar maiden on her debut also over 6f and goes into a handicap for the first time after a break off a reasonable mark with a capable apprentice taking the ride.
Progressive handicapper on the AW this year scoring for the first time after a couple of runner-up slots at Chelmsford over this trip. That win came in first-time cheekpieces that are retained here and despite the 7lb rise he's likely to remain competitive.
Forecasts
Delfie Lane (6/4), Spirit Of Sarwan (4/1), Things Happen (4/1), Cheval Blanche (9/2), Millie's Kiss (7/1)
Quite a competitive end to the card despite the small field and it’s hard to totally discount any of this quintet. Both Millie’s Kiss and Things Happen are likely to need to improve a little on their wins last time out to score again as they do face a couple of likely improvers in Cheval Blanche and DELFIE LANE. The former of that duo is very interesting making her handicap debut after a long break but was clearly thought to be useful last year given her Royal Ascot run. However she may just have to give best on this occasion to Delfie Lane who will have the fitness edge and will be ridden by a talented claimer.
