Still right in contention when coming down at the last at Thurles earlier in the month, needs a bit more on form.
Not spotted since being pulled up at Navan over longer trip almost a year ago, plenty on his plate coming back to the track.
Hasn't won in last 13 runs stretching back to 2015, hard to see where the change in fortune is coming from at the moment having been beaten 96L at Thurles latest.
Beaten close to 30L over C&D when last seen in October, 2lb lower for this but doesn't appear especially well handicapped.
Travelled well in second handicap start at Gowran Park recently, drop back in trip ought to help and can play a forward role in the finish now.
Off that mark at the 16th time of asking over timber at Thurles this month over 2m. Didn't have a lot in hand but runner-up since gone close off 3lb higher so 5lb hike looks manageable.
Mare hasn't been bursting with promise in three maiden hurdles but shouldn't be written off going into handicap company for the first time.
Has 7L to find on Coole Craft on recent Thurles meeting, entitled to close gap off revised ratings. Yet to place in seven starts but getting there.
First run under rules since April 2015 came last month at Punchestown and saw him beaten more than 100L. Drops in trip but hard to be confident.
Resoundingly beaten on handicap debut at Clonmel last month over this trip. Tongue strap reached for now, lots to find on form.
Went back over hurdles latest off this mark, travelled nicely before tiring over 2m4f. Must enter calculations over this reduced trip.
Yet to hit the frame in eight starts over timber. Drop back to 2m last month no apparent help. Plenty to prove.
Much better effort at Thurles recently in race won by Coole Craft. Hood back on and 5lb better off with that rival, may go close.
Has a bit to find with a few of these on recent Thurles running. Yet to really threaten over the obstacles.
Forecasts
Fiesole (5/1), Coole Craft (6/1), Spare Brakes (13/2), Sunset Sadie (7/1), Rock On Lilly (7/1), Fairymount Boy (7/1), Bective Cave (9/1), Ted Bach (12/1), For Pedro (14/1), Dr Zoom (16/1), Notification (20/1), Analyse That (25/1), Jimmy's Choice (33/1), Jessicor (33/1)
FAIRYMOUNT BOY showed enough enthusiasm recently switched back to these obstacles to merit a nod here. He travelled strongly before finding less than appeared likely and the drop to 2m looks to be a positive move. Coole Craft took a big jump in the right direction when opening his account at Thurles recently and, with the runner-up having gone well since, he is respected in his follow up attempt. The likes of Bective Cave and Sunset Sadie also enter calculations on their efforts behind him. Fiesole was in with every chance when crashing out at the last on his most recent run and can get involved in this if suffering no ill effects of that tumble.
- Fairymount Boy
- Coole Craft
- Sunset Sadie
