Placed in several bumpers, the main problem having been his jumping which obviously won't be an issue here. Needs to prove he has the speed for the this shorter trip though.
From a family including several bumper winners and the pedigree for a variety of trips, which should make this intermediate distance ideal. Worth considering.
Unremarkable point to point career has been followed by three bumpers so far, all in 2015 including one behind Ball D'Arc. Has to overcome a lengthy break, though.
Ran well enough in another bumper at Fairyhouse over shorter (2m, soft). The step up in trip should help and we know he handles the conditions. Player.
Unlucky not to get off the mark in three bumpers so far, including when narrowly beaten at Naas last time (2m3f, yielding to soft). Looks a class apart from the rest of these.
Unimpressive when well beaten into last place on racecourse debut at Leopardstown in December (2m, yielding). The longer trip may help as he looked outpaced on debut, and he wears a first time tongue tie.
€4,000 purchase as a three-year-old by Flemensfirth from the family of Beef or Salmon. Pedigree is notable, therefore, and she's worth a check in the market.
Ran well enough on debut in a bumper over the same trip at Limerick. Must improve on that performance, but that's possible if he settles better this time.
Hasn't shown too much on three starts and steps up in trip here. Could be more to come but others rate more likely winners.
Forecasts
Burren Life (8/13), Banno (5/1), Texas Theatre (7/1), Thinkinginmysleep (12/1), Impact Player (12/1), Ben Brody (14/1), Vanellope (20/1), Working Man (20/1), Temple Hall Flyer (25/1)
On the available form BURREN LIFE should be winning this fairly easily. He's unlucky not to have won a bumper already and will only get better with experience, and this looks an ideal trip at this stage. Banno is another to consider having also run well in other bumpers already, while Temple Hall Flyer is an interesting newcomer, especially at the likely larger odds.
- Burren Life
- Banno
- Temple Hall Flyer
