Not beaten far in two 1m2f maiden events at Lingfield. Raced prominently for the most recent of those. Likely to run well once more though one or two others make more appeal here.

Expensive yearling purchase who shaped as if this step up to 1m2f would suit when a staying on third at Lingfield over 1m on debut. Trainer has a decent record at this track (20/71) and likely to prove hard to beat here.

Held up on each of his two starts to date including when beaten 11L over 7f at Lingfield last time out. Steps up markedly in trip and has a bit to find with the principals here.

Gelded son of Medicean purchased for €45,000 as a yearling in August 2015 out of a dam who placed in Listed company in Germany. Likely best watched on debut for a yard better known for their handicap winners.

Forecasts

Royalistic (8/13), Specialist (11/4), Swilly Bay (7/1), Gee Sixty Six (14/1), Yemnaak (25/1)

Verdict

ROYALISTIC was beaten when sent off favourite for a 1m maiden at Lingfield on debut last month but having finished third on that occasion he can go two better here upped 2f in trip. The selection represents a yard who do well here and can get the better of Specialist who looks to be the main pace angle in the race with Gee Sixty Six who's shown promise in two maidens so far taken to finish third.
  1. Royalistic
  2. Specialist
  3. Gee Sixty Six
