Famous old racing colours that were carried to victory by this filly at Chelmsford (6f) on debut last month, though she pulled and ran no sort of race on her handicap intro at Newcastle last time. Connections now try this route and it is one that could prove to be more fruitful.
Won a Brighton maiden (6f, good) in August on just his second start. but well beaten in two subsequent handicaps from marks of 75 and 73. A further 3lb drop will help, especially in this more suitable company and with the yard's runners in cracking form he looks the one to beat.
Like a number of these, this gelding has struggled in handicaps since landing his maiden at Newmarket in July when with Richard Hannon. Shown very little in two starts for current yard and down another 3lb in the ratings. May do better when dropping further.
Sole success from 12 attempts was here over 7f in a median auction maiden a couple of months ago. Held in both a claimer and a seller since but consistent enough performer who can probably make an impact the way this race is framed.

Forecasts
Hidden Stash (7/4), Peachey Carnehan (2/1), Goodwood Crusader (9/4), Bastia (7/2), Who Told Jo Jo (7/1), Monoshka (8/1)
A tricky race, where nothing could be confidently ruled out, though HIDDEN STASH looks the most likely winner. Andrew Balding's string are in cracking form and this gelding has some solid form to bring to the table. Bastia is one of those more likely to make the frame, while Peachey Carnahan and Goodwood Crusader can also join battle for the money.
