Not without market support beforehand but baring in mind he was 10lb lighter than he should have been throughout a large chunk of the race and still didn't finish in the money, he's hard to fancy here with plenty to do to turn the form around with winner of that contest, African Grey.

Verdict

Provided AFRICAN GREY doesn't fall victim to the bounce factor, running so soon again after an absence, he may be able to record back-to-back course and distance wins. He managed to quicken off a sedate pace last time and it's still early days so he's like to work his way up through the ratings throughout the year. Sir Mark Prescott's AW debutantes are always worthy of consideration and Scala Regla looks well suited to this track. Forest Angel has contested some nice races at Newmarket and she may have needed her comeback run at Wolverhampton so she's another who warrants respect.
