Won only bumper run before falling on hurdles bow at Listowel when looking held after going off favourite, that was in June 2013 and has not been sighted since which must be a major concern.

Step up in trip at Punchestown brought about some improvement and should be more in the offing with extra yardage to cover once more in this, trainer continues to go well.

Tramore bumper winner in December, run with promise in two outings over timber since, goes up in trip markedly for this.

Just the two runs over hurdles, coming nine months apart, and pulled up both times. Latest came in January at Leopardstown over shorter trip than this.

Fair if unspectacular hurdles bow at Limerick over Christmas when fourth of 16 on heavy ground at 2m6f, has scope to better in first run since.

Best effort to date came over three-miles when just failing in three-way go at the winning post, travelled well into that race and, given time to recover, should go well again now.

Acquitted himself well in bumper and hurdles outing since joining powerful trainer, entitled to progress after short break and be competitive.

Found one too good again at Punchestown last month over 2m6f though did little wrong in defeat. Clearly going the right way and likely to be off the mark sooner rather than later.

Has really found things tough in five previous starts over timber, needs to show some forward momentum before there will be confidence.

Not fair behind Freeway Space last time at Punchestown and that gives her a fair claim in this race.

Forecasts

Freeway Space (7/4), Classic Place (5/2), Une Lavandiere (7/1), Iconic Image (7/1), Ask Susan (10/1), Magic Of Light (10/1), Soul Kaliber (14/1), Right So Joe (33/1), Ballykeereen (40/1), City Saint John (66/1)

Verdict

Freeway Space continues to improve and has twice gone close over timber now, he will surely break his duck at this game sooner rather than later but might play second fiddle again with ICONIC IMAGE a major threat. The stamina test of three-miles at Cork in January brought about a career-best from him and, with ample time to recover, this looks an ideal race for him to open his account. Une Lavandiere finished close behind Freeway Space last time out so demands respect while Magic Of Light is another for whom the longer trip should pay off. Classic Place made a fair debut over flights at Limerick and can build on that here while Soul Kaliber should have more to offer for his leading yard.
  1. Iconic Image
  2. Freeway Space
  3. Une Lavandiere
