Winner of a bumper over C&D under today's jockey on her most recent outing. Had run with credit on turf in two starts prior to that but has to be respected from a top stable.
Improved markedly on her debut when finishing sixth at Warwick in January. Half-brother to the useful Potters Legend but yards last two runners have both disappointed.
Signs of promise over 1m5f at Exeter on debut in October 2015 but disappointed over the same C&D the following month. Returns from an absence here but worth a check in the market.
Half-brother to mile winner Warfare out of a mare who placed over a mile. Interesting jockey booking for a good Flat yard who have a 14% strike rate in bumpers in recent seasons (1/7).
Scorpion gelding out of an unraced mare purchased for £30,000 in May 2016. Yard have a 12% strike rate in bumpers and is a rare runner at this track for them (1/2 in recent years).
Finished fourth having raced prominently for much of the way on debut at Wetherby in January. Half-sister to the yards winners As I Am, Western Way & Beyond Measure and bred to stay further in time.
Forecasts
Polly's Pursuit (1/1), Skip (9/4), Perfect Moment (7/1), Potters Hedger (10/1), The Big Bite (14/1), Arthington (33/1), Russian Approval (33/1)
C&D winner POLLY'S PURSUIT ooks likely to prove hard to beat in this opening AW bumper. The selection is the most experienced runner in the field and hails from a stable with a 19% strike rate (5/27) recently and is taken to get the better of the Kempton eyecatcher Arthington while the debutant Skip can claim third on his racecourse debut for a predominantly Flat orientated stable.
