Failed to sparkle when only seventh of eight on her handicap debut over 9½F at Wolverhampton just over a fortnight ago, with that race being her first run on Tapeta. A 400,000 gns yearling, she's clearly capable of better, and did finish second on her final start in a maiden behind Ocean Drive at Lingfield in January.
Made it 13th time lucky over 9½F at Wolverhampton in late January when winning an auction maiden before being dropped into a claimer next time at Lingfield. However, he again ran well over this trip on that occasion, going down by only a head to Critical Thinking, but looks vulnerable from this revised mark of 67.
Makes her AW debut, and has been absent since September 2016. A five race maiden, her sole run over this trip came on her final start at Bath (second run in a handicap) when she finished a well held fourth of six to Count Calabash. Dropped to a mark of 67, she needs to do more and prove her stamina.
Has thrived since stepping up into handicap company, and for the switch to the Fibresand at Southwell. A runner up on his handicap debut in late December, he went one better when staying on strongly over a mile to down Elegantly Bound by 2L. Switches to Tapeta from an 8lb higher mark, and upped two furlongs in trip, but should stay.
Despite finishing second here over 1m to Killermount Street on his latest start, he didn't quite produce the finishing effort shown previously on his handicap debut when beaten into fourth by the progressive Spinwheel (7f). Generally hits a flat spot, and needs a strongly run race to be seen at his best, but not discounted from a fair mark upped once more in trip.
Left his three runs in maidens behind when winning on his return from a short break by a short head when stepped up to this trip for the first time in an apprentices handicap at Lingfield last week. Unpenalised, and races for the second time as a gelding, with the same rider aboard tonight, he looks a live contender if seeing out this trip at a stiffer track.
Handicap mark continues to fall (now rated 60), but is unplaced in seven career starts so far, including on three occasions at this track. Finished fourth behind runner up Out Of Order over a mile here recently, and like that rival steps up to this new distance of 1m2f for the very first time.
Finished fourth to Maori Bob (beaten 2L) on just her second start in handicap company at Lingfield last week, but held every chance that afternoon and was no match for the winner at the business end of the race. Appears to lack a change of gear, with the first-time cheek-pieces applied tonight.
Didn't appear to relish the kickback when always in the rear on her AW debut at Southwell (1m) last week. Switches to Tapeta tonight in the first time visor, with stamina to prove now stepped up in trip to 1m2f for the first time.
Forecasts
Daily Trader (10/3), Maori Bob (7/2), Out of Order (9/2), Whatelseaboutyou (5/1), Good Time Ahead (11/2), My Rosie (10/1), Ladofash (14/1), Ok By Me (20/1), Our Lois (50/1)
The unpenalised MAORI BOB forms the logical starting point, and in truth the Michael Bell trained handicap debut winner ought to be capable of following up last weeks Lingfield victory for Lulu Stanford. However, it's worth noting that this is a much stiffer ten furlongs than Lingfield, so he might not be one to get stuck into at likely cramped odds. However, many of his rivals have points to prove themselves including My Rosie (inconsistent), Daily Trader (surface and trip), Out of Order (trip) and Ladofash (trip).
1. Maori Bob
2. Out of Order
3. Daily Trader
