Useful performer on the Flat and promising when third in a maiden hurdle on his second try in this sphere on his penultimate outing. Disappointing next time out upped in trip however and best form on the Flat came on ground quicker than he's likely to encounter here.
Winner on heavy ground at Ludlow in a bumper back in January 2016 but held on hurdles outings since including when runner-up (Paddys Motorbike third) over this C&D in November. Has disappointed in handicaps the last twice and races off the same mark here.
Finished third off 4lb higher mark on his penultimate outing over C&D in March but well held on good ground at Chepstow subsequently. Hasn't been seen in action since April last year but has the ground to suit in first time tongue tie and visor.
Successful under today's 7lb claimer at Hereford in January and the pair finished runner-up at the same track subsequently. He races off the same mark here and with ground conditions likely to suit he looks set to go well once more.
Yet to win has shown promise in four handicap outings to date including over C&D on soft ground in December. Could finish only fourth in first time cheekpieces (retained) at Fontwell last time out and he rates an interesting contender here.
Best recent efforts have come at this track including when third off a 4lb higher mark over 2m here in December. Won twice in selling company here in early 2016 and while well beaten last time out he has ground conditions to suit here.
No form since finishing runner-up on good ground at Kempton over 2m5f in May 2016 including in five starts for this yard. Looks well handicapped on his old form (15lb lower than last winning mark), any support in the market would be notable but has plenty to prove at present.

CALCULATED RISK hails from a yard who have a 17% strike rate (12/70) here in recent seasons and was twice a winner at this track in 2016. The selection finished third here in December and comes into this on a 4lb lower mark and he can get the better of Way Of The World who finished runner-up at Hereford off this mark last time out and Paddys Motorbike who contests his first handicap hurdle in this.
