Winner over 1m4f here on Saturday and a winner over the same C&D late last month. Turned out quickly under a penalty here and likely to prove hard to beat in this.
Running well of late and beaten just ½L at Wolverhampton earlier this month. Won off a 5lb lower mark over C&D last month and likely to put up a bold show once more.
Winner at Wolverhampton last month having been well beaten in a first time visor the time before. Races off a 4lb higher mark than for that success and this looks a much stronger contest.
Dual C&D winner back in December and beaten by Coilte Cailin here last month. Not beaten far here on his penultimate outing but remains on a mark 6lb higher than for his latest success.
Winner of his last two Flat outings including over this trip at Chelmsford in October. Beaten twice over hurdles since then and returns from nearly three months off the track here.
Forecasts
Sennockian Star (9/4), Banditry (11/4), Dutch Uncle (11/4), Coillte Cailin (6/1), Van Huysen (8/1)
SENNOCKIAN STAR has been in good form of late and can register his third victory of 2017 in this small field contest. The gelding was always prominent when winning at Lingfield at the weekend and turns out quickly under a penalty for a trainer who has a 20% strike rate (6/30) recently. Coillte Cailin is another who has been in good form recently and she can build on her placing at Wolverhampton by taking second here while Banditry is another to consider as he returns from a couple of outings over jumps.
1. Sennockian Star
2. Coillte Cailin
3. Banditry
