Very well handicapped these days and posted one of his better efforts last time out. However, this is a slightly stiffer test under top-weight and he needs everything to go his way in his bid to end his drought.
Looked a far from straightforward ride but still won in good style over C&D last week. The 6lb penalty is fair in the context of this race and he has to be respected as a leading contender now his confidence is on the boil.
Kept very busy last year but has become a tad frustrating to follow. Has a bit to find with Roaring Rory on bits and pieces of form, so likely to need a bit of luck in running if he is going to come out on top.
Likes to race with the pace but can often be too keen for his own good. Has a chance on very best form but recent evidence suggest he may find at least a couple too good for him here.
Brushed aside by Roaring Rory last time out and has work to do to reverse the placings. The first time visor may help to keep him focused but he is unlikely to get an uncontested lead so needs to prove his mettle for a battle.
Improved since switching to handicaps and, having posted a couple of solid efforts at this track, everything looks to be in place for a big run. One to consider.
Managed to stop the rot with a win at this course last April but has subsequently been very expensive to follow. He was a disappointing favourite last time out but he is well handicapped so capable if bouncing back.
Capable on his day but very rarely runs two races the same these days. Has dropped 11lb in the ratings since this time last year, so has a feasible chance on these terms, even though he needs to prove he still has the will to win when push comes to shove.
Arguably a better horse on turf than the AW, which was underlined in each of his last two outings. Just one win from 19 starts here and trainer has had just one AW winner from 57 runners in the last year.
Forecasts
It Must Be Faith (11/8), Dandilion (7/2), Roaring Rory (9/2), Jack The Laird (11/1), Dream Ally (11/1), Cruise Tothelimit (16/1), Give Us A Belle (18/1), David's Beauty (22/1), Bilash (150/1)
It's always risky assuming a horse is capable of brushing aside a penalty but ROARING RORY seemed to win with plenty in hand over C&D nine days ago and could well be difficult to resist if he rattles home in the same manner. The unexposed Dandilion has scope from her current mark and is respected as a big threat, while Dream Ally and the first-time visored David's Beauty are others worthy of consideration.
1. Roaring Rory
2. Dandilion
3. Dream Ally
