8/15
Winner in France when trained by Emmanuel Clayeux over fences and scored on his debut for his new yard at Wincanton (novice hurdle). Disappointed at Wetherby next time out when a short-priced favourite and was later reported to have had an abnormally high heart rate post-race and to be suffering from heat stress. The blinkers go on for the first time here as he bids to bounce back from that disappointment.

Cost €40,000 as a three-year-old but has proved very moderate so far in a bumper and novice hurdle three months apart.

11/4
Winner in Irish point-to-points and has shown some fair form over hurdles in three attempts so far. Best effort came on debut when runner-up over a slightly shorter trip at his track to a long-odds on favourite. Failed to follow-up that run and pulled-up on his latest start at Ayr in very heavy conditions, losing his place at halfway.

Half-brother to seven winners but ran green when well held on his bumper debut at Wetherby and makes his hurdling debut.

9/1
Runner-up in three starts in Irish point-to-points and won bumper at Bangor on debut in October 2015. Only run once since then when finishing second in a Uttoxeter bumper to the now useful hurdler Templeross (better form than debut win). Returns from a significant absence here to make his hurdles debut over a trip that should suit.
Pulled-up on his hurdles debut and shown very little in three subsequent hurdling starts.

Horse silk
11/1
Sixth foal and a brother to the hurdler/chaser Universal Soldier and makes his hurdles debut after finishing third in an Irish maiden point-to-point on debut.
9
Horse silk
66/1
Dual winner on the Flat (rated 82) when trained by Mark Johnston at distances up to 1m2f. Looks to be brought along quietly over hurdles and not knocked around on either start in this sphere although needs to jump and settle better if handicaps are the plan after this run.

Forecasts

Catamaran Du Seuil (8/15), Front At The Last (11/4), Loch Garman Aris (9/1), Skipthescales (11/1), Glittering Love (20/1), Pineapple Crush (28/1), Arctic Vodka (50/1), Stetchworth (66/1), Cyrano Star (100/1), Onlyfoolsownhorses (200/1)

Verdict

Clearly not in the best of health last time out at Wetherby when he was well beaten CATAMARAN DU SEUIL deserves another chance here to build on his debut GB win at Wincanton in what doesn’t look a strong heat. Loch Garmin Aris looks to offer the main threat on his bumper form with From At The Last likely to be the only other one with a chance of overcoming the favourite although Skipthescales looks an interesting debutante. 1. Catamaran Du Seuil 2. Loch Garman Aris 3. Front At The Last
