Has shown useful form of late over both hurdles and fences; winning his last of each at Ayr, travelling strongly on each occasion. Back over hurdles here off a 10lb higher mark than his last win and 5lb more than his chase win last time out. Capable conditional rider takes of 7lb and he looks sure to go well again around a course where his two starts have yielded a win and a second.
Has shown some fairly useful form in handicap hurdles in his time but is capable of throwing in the odd bad run as he did last time out at Warwick. Has dropped back to his last winning mark though and that may help him turn in a better performance this time around.
Has been mostly out of form but came back to his best when winning at Ayr on his penultimate start springing a surprise at a big price. Up 5lb for that win last time out saw him run well below that winning form reverting to his usual inconsistent self.
Winner over further here in early November was his best form of late off a mark of 115. Failed to make much of an impression in two starts after that win and often shows signs of temperament.
Capable hurdler but has just one win to show you for his efforts with a win here over 2m2f being his sole victory off a mark of 119. Has the look of one who is coming back to form based on his recent fourth at Haydock and looking to be off a good mark here; dropped a pound for that effort and one to take note of.
Winner over C&D in an amateur riders' race in December by 13 lengths where he looked to benefit from the step up to a longer trip although he was off a career low mark. Two solid efforts since then off higher marks but it may well be that the handicapper has caught up with him again.
Capitalised on some solid form this year when winning at Newcastle last time out in a lower grade than he faces here. He's untried over trips such as this and takes a rise in grade but he did win with a little in hand last time and would be interesting if he stayed; there is plenty of stamina in his pedigree.

Just about the most competitive race on the card with ROWDY ROCHER looking to provide a first winner as a conditional for his rider Rachel McDonald. The up in grade Rhymers Stone will provide the main opposition although it’s a surprise to see the cheekpieces left off him this time around. Maxie T is looking to work his way up to something having run well last time out and his mark now looks one that he can win off. Landecker and Top Billing are both capable but can find their attitude getting in the way with Forty Crown now looking to be in the grip of the handicapper.
