No match for easy winner on second hurdles start at Fairyhouse over this trip, was clear of the remainder and will surely open her account soon for champion trainer.
Looked held by front two when falling at the last recently at Fairyhouse, that was over 2m4f, drops in trip and should be involved again.
Ran well in pair of maiden hurdles last month over two-miles, upped in trip for this and should go close.
Struggled in three maiden hurdle runs and there looks to be a few too good in this line-up on form.
Drops in trip for this but form of two outings over hurdles requires a leap of faith to imagine she'll take a prominent role.
First run over hurdles, all to do based on bumper / point-to-point form.
Encouraging first run over hurdles at this track early this month, upped in trip for this and has something to build upon.
Has really found things tough in four previous starts over timber, needs to show some forward momentum before there will be confidence.
Has shown some promise over hurdles and could have place claims in this, Fairyhouse form recently suggests plenty to find with Kate Appleby Shoes for win purposes.
Form over hurdles so far doesn't inspire any confidence in amongst some potentially smart rivals.
Raced prominently on sole outing in Fairyhouse bumper in December but weakened out of contention, bit to prove now going jumping.
Well beaten both starts over timber, most recently at Limerick over two-miles in late December.
Made racecourse debut at Fairyhouse early this month in two-mile maiden hurdle, didn't always jump fluently and beat a long way.
Some promise in Galway hurdles debut in September, not building on that later the same month when ridden more prominently at Gowran Park and off since.
Not the most consistent in bumpers and failed to get off the mark in five attempts. Always likely to prove better for switch to jumps and respected for trainer/jockey team.
Forecasts
Kate Appleby Shoes (9/10), Awayinthewest (2/1), The Kings Baby (8/1), Theatre Wine (10/1), Marienstar (12/1), Carrigeen Acebo (40/1), Strike Is Back (50/1), Right So Joe (100/1), Mary Frances (100/1), Ballytier Princess (100/1), Princess Mahler (100/1), Pyrford Pippin (100/1), Ask Pippa (100/1), Baltic Black (100/1), San Calista (100/1)
KATE APPLEBY SHOES has had a couple of goes in this sphere without obliging but there seems every chance this smart bumper performer will make it third time lucky. She's entitled to be improving and has the scope for plenty more. Awayinthewest will be no pushover having also run well in two starts over timber and can ensure the selection has work to do while Theatre Wine can take leading order if none the worse for her recent fall. Strike Is Back is also an interesting newcomer for a trainer with his team in super order.
1. Kate Appleby Shoes
2. Awayinthewest
3. Strike Is Back
