The veteran Stand Guard showed no signs of his old age catching up with him when winning over C&D last time, but as his mark continues to rise, he's going to have to struggle sooner or later. Perhaps ON FIRE can take advantage here. The relatively lightly raced gelding ran well in defeat over C&D last month in what was his first start over 1m4f and could take all the beating if coming on for that run.
