Has gone up 12lb for back-to-back wins, the latter over C&D and clearly in very good heart at present. Showed little sign of coming to the end of her tether last time, though will obviously need to find a bit more to defy this latest 6lb rise. Major player in her hat-trick bid.
3lb lower than when winning a 2m Lingfield handicap three years ago when with Gary Moore, but was off a long time before two recent runs, neither of which inspire in the context of this race.
Just 1lb better off for a two and three quarter length defeat by Miss Dusky Diva last time out and, while she may be able to finish closer, this mark has regularly found her out and a place may again be her best hope.
Both wins have been here over 1m4f and has gone close twice lately, resulting in a 2lb rise after her C&D run last time and entitled to plenty of respect.
Last Flat win was almost four years ago and having first run in this sphere since November 2014 when trained by Andrew Reid. Has won three hurdles since (stays 2m4f over obstacles) but has to prove his stamina over this extreme trip and probably one to take on today.
Not won on the Flat since 2011 and last hurdles success was two years later, so not difficult to oppose this gelding who has been out of form lately.
Dual C&D scorer, the latter being two years ago from a 9lb higher mark. If able to reproduce his effort here from this time last year he would have a squeak, but recent efforts have not suggested that he is on the verge of a return to form.
Finished three lengths behind Lineman here last month and now just 1lb better off, so while she may finish closer it takes a little imagination to see her being good enough to win this time.
Forecasts
Miss Dusky Diva (6/4), Ascendant (11/4), Lineman (11/2), Dream Serenade (6/1), Delagoa Bay (11/1), Yorkshireman (14/1), Anton Dolin (66/1), Fennann (100/1)
MISS DUSKY DIVA arrives here in great form and chasing a hat-trick and is the suggestion to complete that feat. Delagoa Bay is weighted to get closer than last time and his rider's claim will help matters in that regard, so she is feared, while Lineman looks next best.
1. Miss Dusky Diva
2. Delagoa Bay
3. Lineman
