Won an Irish point-to-point before landing a bumper at Uttoxeter but failed to cope with the penalty next time out. Vulnerable again this time around.
An improving sort that landed a Leopardstown bumper without too much fuss. Going the right way and is one for the shortlist in a moderate event like this
An interesting newcomer from a highly respected yard. There are winners in his pedigree; looks a stayer in the making but won't need to be out of the ordinary to make the frame at the first time of asking.
A relatively cheap purchase but has a likeable pedigree; contests this for a small yard, whose choice to employ a tongue tie at the first time asking raises a little concern. Probably best watched.
His yard does well in this type of race and it will be interesting to see how the market reacts today. Likely to need a test of stamina if his pedigree is anything to go by.
Another who represents a yard that is adept at getting one ready for a race of this nature, a market move would be interesting to note.
Was a disappointing favourite in a similar race at Huntingdon on Boxing Day and already looks like he needs a sterner test of his stamina. Others make more appeal on this occasion.
A half-brother to a hatful of winners and a number of fair hurdlers, worth noting in the betting.
Showed very little in her only previous start and, given the amount of time between her debut and now, she has obviously needed time to strengthen up. She may have to settle for a role of making up the numbers again.
A cheap purchase, she looks to be from ordinary stock and hails from a yard that isn't renowned as prolific in this sphere, hard to find a betting angle for the time being.
Made a most inauspicious start to her racing career by being unruly at the start and unshipped her rider when the tapes went up in a similar race at Wincanton at the start of the month. Her yard does well in this type race but she needs to prove she has the resolution to make an impact.
Represents a top yard and has a very interesting pedigree, heads the shortlist of the contenders making their debut.
Ran too freely to last home on his debut at Warwick last month but that run will have taught him plenty so not without a chance if he settles a little better this time around.
Cost just £2,000 and makes limited appeal on pedigree. Her yard is yet to send out a winner in a bumper this term; which is more than likely going to remain the case if a few of the rest live up to their potential.
Out of a half-sister to Best Mate, so appeals on pedigree, but her yard has been quite in bumpers so she may have to wait a little longer before she justifies her £15,000 price tag.
